As far as am concerned both the priest & the badly dressed girl are wrong... ye the girl at least should have had the decorum 2 have dressed properly b/4 going 4 mass. while the priest also was supposed 2 have accorded the girl some respect by quietly sending a church orderly/warden accross 2 her with the directions 2 excuse the girl outside and ask her quietly 2 go home and change her dressing.but in anycase if the girl refuses, the priest should ave overlooked the girl and do what most reverend fathers are known 4. what are they known 4 ?they are known 4 chosing preaching topics that would ordinarily keep such badly dressed people uncom4table thru out the service period. afterall Jesus christ even cared more 4 such as we all....I am a born catholic,and I am equally suprised that a well trained and ordained catholic priest should publicly shout at one of his congregants,especially one that is not well dressed.That priest must be a new breed priest. well, now wahala dey everywhere sha. | Posted: at 11-01-2012 03:42 PM (12 years ago) | Upcoming | |

Catholics hardly know the scriptures bcos they have a resital that they follow 99.99% of the time denying themselves the knowledge of reading the Bible. As a man of God the reverend should know better. Refer to Romans 10:1-2, I would say the girl has an unenlightened zeal for God and that's why she came to church in the first place, why should her dressing be an issue to a revereend? Also refer to Romans 14:1, 4, 10-12. Do not judge anyone bcos each of us will be accountable to God. A deacon our church ones sent away a poorly dressed new comer to the church, when our senior pastor heard about it, she was so furious that it became the sermon of that sunday. My pastor and her husband were hard core junkies on motor bikes when they show up in a church and got saved. Today this woman of God is transforming my city one block at a time. But the good news my brother is that : Christ shows us what humbleness is all about and accepts us wholeheartedly when we turn back to him!!! The reverend did not humble himself as a man of God would...too bad an example for a sinner!!!
I went back to my bible and it says: Donot judge so u won't be judged!!! If Christ would be like him and condemn us immediately he recognises us as sinners, then there won't be any chance for repentance!!!

Some claimed, it's possible she came for repentance but that does not hold cos anybody who truly desires repentance is already tired of sin and would not behave that way.
