If you mean toast as in" a girl walking up to a guy and asking him to be her boyfriend or troubling him to marry her",i personally don't think its cool.. i even doubt if guys would like that.
if not, then a lot of girl toast guys, just that they dont do it the way we guys do it. they show a lot of body language and give loads of signals to make you know that she wants you. it is now left for you the "bobo"  to decipher the signs and make a move in the appropriate way.and thats where the problem lies. Most guys dont just know how to decipher these body languages or even when they do, they get too excited and make the wrong move and jumble up the whole thing.
