KANO, Nigeria — An explosion ripped through a zonal police headquarters Friday in the largest city in Nigeria’s Muslim north, causing unknown casualties, witnesses said.
The blast occurred just after 5 p.m. in the city of Kano, the second largest city in Nigeria. Police kept Associated Press reporters away from the building, which had its roof removed and blown out in the explosion.
Authorities could not be immediately reached for comment to say what caused the blast or say if there had been any injuries. An AP reporter could see a plume of smoke also rising from another neighborhood in the city.
Another AP reporter said the explosion was powerful enough to shake his car several miles (kilometers) away.
The explosion occurred as Nigeria faces increasing attacks from a radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram. Boko Haram has been blamed for killing at least 76 people since the start of the year, according to an AP count. The sect killed at least 510 people last year in its growing sectarian struggle against Nigeria’s weak central

I am still wondering how could Boko Haram become so strong to make such attacks. I truly doubt Nigeria Police and SSS. Someone must be having hands in this. Some wicked people have hidden agenda and are taking advantage of our weak president (If he truly not part of those wicked people) and want it force into action. I truly doubt our entire governments.
May god expose the TRUE perpetrators of all these MADNESS

Dear Bachelorette, Have u seen that those who started talking earlier about non-existence of 1 Nigeria are the one with fore sights. Massob, mend etc. I thank God today that many have been enlightened. My man, there is no way and there has been no way Nigeria has remain one or will remain one right from Independence, Britain knew what they did and why they did it. Today they are regretting in their conscience. That Nation call Nigeria will not end up been 1 nation sooner. Quote me.

Nigeria being one or divided in not the solution. Solution to our problems is to fish out the true perpetrators of these atrocities and punish them whether our president, his vice or any other high ranking politician is involved. I believe some people are taking advantage of our gullible nature to divide and rule us and also to do all the THINGS he wants to do. We have seen so many countries that were divided and yet, no peace come. Sudan is a good example. That country was divided just in 2011, and the so called christians who wished to be separated with the Muslims now have their nation with pool of petroleum and yet they are currently slaughtering one another everyday. They have more problems as they are now shading the blood of their own brothers.
Dividing or not dividing Nigeria is not my problem but how can we have peace? We don't have to be sentimental.
