my heartfelt condolences to the victims. but seriously, considering the kind of country we live in, should women be traveling at night? this is a nation where our womenfolk are under siege. from terrorist campus male students, to doctors, police and military and lecturers. all of them lying in wait to ambush and humiliate our womenfolk. African societies need to evolve from the atrocious treatment of women. not just rape, but the various other humiliating torture women are subjected to in our communities. some places require women to drink the water washed off their late husbands corpses!
on top of everything, individuals need to proactive and be more conscious about their personal safety.
females in Nigeria HAVE NO BUSINESS TRAVELLING AT NIGHT, just as christians and southerners have no business living in boko haram domains.
change is constant.
be aprehensive about your environment.
and please go check yourselves for STDs and pregnancy and take prophylactic appropriate measures.
