Rep’s father abducted in Edo

BENIN—FATHER of the Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Mr Samson Osagie, was yesterday, abducted by unknown gunmen.
 
Pa Samson Imariagbe, aged 75, was said to have been kidnapped at his village, Urhokuosa, in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
 
The Minority Leader, who confirmed the incident to journalists, said the kidnappers were yet to make contact with the family, adding that calls made to his father’s phone indicated that it was switched off.
 
When contacted, the state Police Command spokesman, Mr. Etim Bassey, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
