Two soldiers and an unconfirmed number of people were reportedly killed in a communal clash between Fulani herdsmen and Tiv farmers in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba.

ASP Ibiang Mbasieke the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Taraba, confirmed the death of the two soldiers on Wednesday in Jalingo in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the command had yet to receive details of the crisis from the DPO in charge of the area.

He, however, stated that the information reaching his office indicated that the two soldiers were among those deployed to the area to restore peace in some warring communities.

Mbasieke said that mobile policemen from Jalingo and a detachment soldiers from Serti and Takum had been deployed  to the area to maintain peace.

NAN recalls that there has been frequent cases of communal clashes between the two ethnic groups in the area over grazing and farming land since December 2011. (NAN)

I don't know what the problem is,but these Fulani dudes are synonymous with trouble,
They are always fighting wherever they are, to avoid more loss of life and destruction of properties , the state government should prevail upon the waring factions and settle the dispute once and for all . Shocked Shocked Shocked
