Six Passengers Died In Auto-Crash On Lokoja-Okene Road

Six persons were killed in a motor accident on Lokoja-Okene  Road, the state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Segun Olapade, said on Tuesday.

The accident, which occurred in Zariagi Community, near Kabba junction, was between a passenger Sienna bus with registration number Kogi AH 710 KNE and articulated truck belonging to Dangote Company.

Olapade said that the accident occurred at 9.00 am when the passenger Sienna bus, coming from Okene had a head on collision with a truck conveying cement.

The truck was coming from Lokoja.

He, however, blamed the accident on over speeding.

Olapade said that 10 people were involved in the accident, adding that the injured were taken to Kogi State Specialist Hospital, while dead were deposited at the morgue of hospital.
