Just an hour ago he confirmed, “KONVICT/EME is now the official label for WIZ KID” in another tweet.

Other than Akon, popular artists such as T-Pain, Kardinal Offishall, Ya Boy, Kat DeLuna, American Yard, Brick & Lace, French Montana, Jeffree Star and Qwes Kross have signed in the past or are still present on Konvict Muzik label, newest addition being Nigeria’s Wiz Kid.


It's unclear if Banky W's EME (Empire Mates Entertainment) has become a subsidiary of KONVICT Music (home to Lady Gaga, and Nigerian acts P Square and 2Face) , or has merely inked a distribution deal with them, what is clear is that this is a step that opens Wizkid up to a new international audience.

Congrats Wiz Kid…Just like Akon asked in his tweet, “Hope u ready?”.
