At least one person died and three others were injured when a three-story building’s balcony collapsed at Number 5 Fanny Street, Ita-Faaji, Lagos Island.

According to an eyewitness, “The incident occurred at about 3.30 pm when there was a partial collapse of a three-storey balcony in which the second-floor balcony caved in.

“In the process, unfortunately, a female passerby was hit by the falling debris of the collapse and died as a result of the effect.

“Three other victims suffered different degrees of injuries and we’re rushed to hospital for treatment.”
