In a devastating turn of events, Adedokun Olamilekan, a promising undergraduate at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, met his untimely demise. The 200-level student of the Department of Information Science was fatally stabbed by unidentified individuals in the Under G area of the town on Thursday night.
Olamilekan, known for his entrepreneurial spirit, was operating a thriving business venture named Dcrown Unisex Salon in Under G. Tragically, an altercation with yet-to-be-identified assailants led to his fatal stabbing during the heated exchange.
Eyewitnesses recount the frantic rush to transport Olamilekan to a nearby medical facility, where despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. "He was rushed immediately to the nearest hospital where he was confirmed dead," one witness lamented.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern within the community, prompting swift action from local law enforcement. The case has been formally reported to the Owode Police Station in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where investigations are underway to apprehend those responsible for this senseless act of violence.
Despite attempts to gather official statements, both the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, and the institution's Public Relations Officer, Fadeyi, remained unreachable at the time of press.
