There is no single functional university in Nigeria anymore. none of them made it to the first 100 list in the world.

Yes but we need to put our house in order in order to compete with the best in the world , not just Africa

We can read this to know the position of UNILAG: The University of Lagos has taken the 16th position in the recent ranking of Top 100 Universities and Colleges in Africa by the 4icu.org University Web Ranking.

University of Cape Town, South Africa was the first on the list, followed closely by University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The first six Universities on the list were South African Universities.

Other Nigerian Universities that made the list and their positions are University of Ilorin (39),University of Ibadan (40), Obafemi Awolowo University (42), University of Benin (45),University of Port Harcourt (52), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (64), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (84) and University of Jos (88).

According to 4icu.org, this ranking is based on web popularity.
