An an age where kids are still highly dependent on their parents, and would rather visit clubs and bars, this young girl Brittany Wenger is already heavily involved in research.

We’re applauding 17 year-old Brittany Wenger for winning the Google Science Fair! Her grand prize computer program can diagnose Bosom  cancer with 99.1% accuracy, took her more than 600 hours to code, and definitely blows away any science project we’ve ever done.

Wenger, 17, didn’t miss a beat when asked about her secret by Mike Cassidy, she says, its to let kids discover their interests and passion for doing things.

“There are so many different fields of science,” Wenger told me the morning after she was literally showered with confetti amid pulsing music on stage at a Google ceremony celebrating the contest’s 15 finalists. “For me it’s computer science and medicine. For some of the other finalists here, it’s chemistry or the environment.”

This years winners of the science fair competition organized by Google.
