...just curious. At times I notice that Muslims will quote from the Bible to support an answer. E.g... if asked if Muhamed (pbuh) was really a prophet the answer would be yes... just like Jesus and Moses etc but he was the last and the Bible foretold of his coming. But at the same time the same Muslims would be condemning the Bible. Am in confusion. Is the Qu'ran based on the Bible? Do Muslims believe in the Bible?... or only certain parts? I would like to know... from Muslims.

Good question! Though am not a muslim, I feel you wont get a true answer being biased on the source of your answer!!
Both Christianity and Islam are Abrahamic religions!
These became introduced in the following way Judaism > Christianity > Islam and > Baha'i Faith.

how they evolved within their quarters.......
Judaism = Masoretic Text and oral Torah.
Christianity = Masoretic Text
Islam = oral Torah
Baha'i Faith = spiritual unity of all humankind

As you can se these are all jewish relegions! It was the Jews expecting a Messiah to come based on their history, culture and religion aligned with Abraham!
These are just a modification and offshoot from their religeous mentality and culture!! Why not look at the link between Jesus, Mohammed, and the jews!!
