Emergency: Egbin system collapse cuts power from 900MW to 479MW

A major system crash at the Egbin power station on Tuesday has sapped deep into the facility’s production levels, from 900 MW to 479MW, a top official said.

The drop implies a significant drop in electricity around the areas fed by Egbin at least for a while. It is not clear how long the problem will last. The News Agency of Nigeria quotes an unnamed official as saying the collapse occurred on Tuesday.http://spammer.blogspot.com/2013/04/emergency-egbin-system-collapses.html
