I am against  anything  that appears to undignify  women and  so am  against  all forms of 'beauty contests.'

The money  however  small or large could have been put to better use. We as a nation lack schools, airport terminals, technological know how a day orphans are going hungry.

These and more should be  our  focus and not keeping up with the rest of the world in looking good in a bikini.  What about looking good in other aspects -  like sorting out  the  issues forcing Nigerians to leave the country illegally, and may be dying in the process, but doing it anyway in  order to feed their families.  Or paying our law enforcement officers better salaries to stop bribe and corruption!  Or our president having to go on China for a £700 million loan -  when will that be paid back -  calling it a low interest loan means nothing!  We have skilled artisans in the country but we look down on our products -  it is 'made in Aba'  and so all presume it's quality is below standard.  But we are being sent even lower standard goods from China.  Fake Hergest wears and the like.  I remember  when we use to look down on Chinese products now we can't get enough of them!  Yes the quality of goods sent to more lndustralised nations of the world from China are superior. I have checked!

So good luck in choosing the next 'beautiful'  girl in Nigeria -  I hope it solves all our problems'
