With just a few days to the much-anticipated Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, Nigeria’s only premium low sugar malt drink, Amstel Malta treated A-list celebrities and guests to a classy brunch this morning, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the WheatBaker Hotel, Ikoyi,Lagos.

The well-attended event, organised by Multi Choice and hosted by the exciting malt brand, witnessed some of Nollywood’s finest actors and actresses including Funke Akindele, Ivie Okujaye, Mercy Aigbe, Nkiru Sylvanus, Michelle Dede, Bimbo Manuel among many other nominees.

Nominees to the prestigious awards expressed excitement over their nominations and commended Amstel Malta’s laudable efforts to impact the African movie industry through its sponsorship of AMVCA.




“I'm extremely honoured to be nominated this year for the AMVCAs…for artistes like me, the greatest fulfilment is knowing that our work is being well appreciated” notes multiple award winning actress, Funke Akindele.



According to the Corporate Media and Brand PR Manager, Mr Edem Vindah, “Amstel Malta is very excited to once again be a part of this great opportunity to reward the best of the African movie industry."


"We love to be a part of the success of the movie industry and that’s why the Amstel Malta Box Office Platform was created to acknowledge the contribution of the industry to the Nigerian economy. We are glad we’ve been able to produce acts that have been nominated for the awards such as O.C Ukeje and Ivie Okujaiye. Emphasizing the brand's partnership with MultiChoice to support the AMVCA, he noted this had also positively served to strongly reinforce the brand message “Be the best you can be and we will continue to encourage and support platforms that reinforce this".
 
AMVCA nominees will be hosted to a pre event cocktail at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre on Friday, March 7th which will usher in the awards show set for Saturday, March 8th at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
