The initiator of Walk Against Rape Campaign, Esther Ijewere-Kalejaiye is angry that some media platforms have been reporting that her initiative, Walk Against Rape Campaign is an initiative of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh. Esther is furious, but tried to be mild while she explained how Tonto Dikeh only came on board like many other female celebrities to assist in the project. Here’s what she wrote on her Facebook page;

Usually i don't do this but i need to clear the air on this issue for its sensitivity. I have been seeing different media platforms reporting that Nollywood Actress ; Tonto Dikeh is the initiator of the Walk Against Rape Camapign because she posted a pre-promotional personalized poster we created for her to create awareness and asked her fans to come out and Walk with her. I believe Tonto Dike will not take credit for something that is not hers... Continue....

Tonto Dike has supported some of our programmes through her Tonto Dike Foundation Platform by donating Rape handbooks to secondary school students and we appreciate her .

Its apparent that some media outfit are so Lazy they can't investigate properly before publishing certain stories all because of "traffic".

Walk Against Rape is not only about Esther Ijewere-Kalejaiye , its about everyone involved who has worked for five years to make it a "believable" dream that it is today and because of them i had to address this issue.

Please respect people's sweat and give them due credit always.

I understand that she wants people to know who really started this cause, but did she start it to gain recognition or because she wants to stop rape in Nigeria and Africa? Which one?
