Former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff has failed in his effort to win the State for President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sheriff only managed to secure 241 votes for the President in his home, Ngala Local Government polling unit at the IDP camp.
APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, however, polled a total of 2,764 votes in Ngala and won all the 15 local government areas so far announced by INEC in Maiduguri.
Similarly, Sheriff could not deliver all his associates, including three members of House of Representatives who followed him from APC to PDP.
One of them, Isa Kangar contested the Northern Borno Senatorial seat under the PDP platform but lost to Alhaji Abubakar Kyari, a former Chief of Staff to Governor Kashim Shettima.
The two others, Hon AbdulRahaman Terab and Peter Biye lost to loyalists of Governor Kashim Shettima in their constituencies.
Terab lost to Mohammed Nur Sheriff, a younger brother of his mentor Ex Governor Sheriff, who has since pitched tent with Governor Shettima.
An insider source, who is close to the ex-governor said Sheriff, who was visibly angry by the result chased all supporters out of his house on Sunday.
They gathered that one of Sheriff’s allies, Mohammed El-Yakub was allegedly arrested by the military for being in possession of fake ballot papers during the Saturday polls.
He was detained at sector 8 of the Seventh division of the Nigerian Army.
