One of the major ways in which this country can develop is through the Government Agencies especially the research Institutes. Once they are not functioning, then we should not expect any tangible development. For effective change in Nigeria, President Buhari must look into the affairs of these Agencies. Most of them are under the supervision of corrupt and wicked leaders. Since they spend so much money to get there, you can’t expect any result from them. They are only full of propaganda, show casing what they don’t have the capacity to do in the next 20 years. One of such Agency is National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) where propaganda is the order of the day. Since 2012 nothing developmental can be point out as the achievement of the Agency, which was giving millions. The only thing you can see are only exotic cars bought by the head, police escorts van, police men around the head and unverifiable works on paper (paper only Achievement). Staff training is no more in existence, staff are forced to pay for official trips with their own money, staffs and contractors are owe since 2012. There is always the cry of there is no money, yet, the monthly overhead of 11 million is received every month in which the head uses to service himself alone. Upon all this, Staffs are constantly victimized, Management Staffs are all under serious fear mixed with sadness because of a tyrant and so call powerful leader. Everyone is afraid of speaking out.
President Buhari must sanction some of the regulatory bodies such as Auditors General’s office, ICPC and EFCC for their role in killing NASENI. All the various report, investigations from them are submerged and kill with Money.
How can there be any Development in Nigeria?
Fighting Corruption must start from Government Institutions and MDAs if truly our President wants to fight corruption.
