West Ham United forward Victor Moses has pulled out of Nigeria’s friendlies against the DR Congo and Cameroon, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced.

The Super Eagles tackle DRC in Vise, Liege, on Thursday, October 8 and will then confront Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in Dendermonde on Sunday, October 11.

In a letter to the Nigeria Football Federation Moses said he was pulling out in a precautionary move against injury.

Earlier, Turkey–based defender Kenneth Omeruo was ruled out of the double header in Belgium this week owing to a hamstring injury.

Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh, while regretting this setback, assured that the team have enough good quality options to fill the gaps left by both players.

“We have no choice now but to work with the other players who are available,”Oliseh said.

Playing for his club is perfect but playing for naija is just for pride. U play for pride if u are 100% fit. Moses is still one of those who responds if everything is ok
