A 40-year-old man identified as Olusola Bamidele, has been reported dead after four men butchered him aboard a commercial bus in Lagos. Four men suspected to be assassins stormed the bus, dragged Bamidele out and stabbed him till they were satisfied he is dead. The assassins who were driving a Camry car waylaid the bus and forced it to stop before perpetrating their evil act.
Though the driver and conductor took the victim to the  Ikorodu General Hospital after the attack, he was unfortunately confirmed dead on arrival.
It was also reported that the policemen from the Owode Onirin division have deposited his corpse at the mortuary.
An anonymous resident living around Thomas bus stop along Ikorodu Road said, “There was confusion here that night. The driver was coming from Mile 12 and going inward Ikorodu. When he got to Thomas bus stop, the Camry, which had been trailing the bus, waylaid it. Four men came out of the car and entered the vehicle through the back door.
“They brought out their target and stabbed him in the neck and chest. When they were sure he was dead, they entered their car and drove away. There was a lot of blood on the road.”

He added that the driver and the conductor of the bus took him to the hospital, having hope that he could survive the attack. Unfortunately Bamidele died at the hospital.
“But he could not make it. They were told he was dead,” he said.
SP Dolapo Badmos, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that the police are currently making efforts to arrest the assassins.
