Liverpool VS West Ham United
Sunday (11/12/2016)
17:30 (WAT)

West Ham propelled themselves into the Champions League race with an impressive 3-0 victory at Liverpool last season, but head to Anfield just over 12 months on fearing relegation

They suffered a crushing 5-1 defeat to Arsenal at the London Stadium last time out, and narrowly avoided dropping into the bottom three thanks only to Middlesbrough’s victory over Hull City on Monday night.

The silver lining, however lightly brushed, from the defeat to Arsenal was the return of Andy Carroll, with the striker scoring what a mere consolation on an otherwise forgettable night for the Hammers.

Bilic has received a vote of confidence from the West Ham hierarchy this week, and will hope that his side can take inspiration from Liverpool’s surprise capitulation to Bournemouth.

TEAM NEWS
West Ham have had a boost as Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell are fit enough to return to the squad for their game against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

The pair have been out due to groin strains and have been back in training this week but the game comes too soon for Cheikhou Kouyate (groin) who is still recovering.

James Collins (muscular injury), Reece Oxford (ankle) and Diafra Sakho (hamstring) are all unavailable.

Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Joel Matip is set to return for the visit of West Ham having missed last weekend's defeat at Bournemouth with an ankle injury.

Midfielder Adam Lallana is pushing for a start having made his comeback from a groin problem as a substitute on Sunday.

Striker Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out of the next two matches as he continues his recovery from a calf injury.

POSSIBLE STARTING LINE-UPS
Liverpool (4-3-3): Karius; Clynne, Matip, Lovren, Milner; Can, Henderson, Lallana; Mane, Origi, Firmino.

West Ham (3-4-2-1): Randolph; Kouyate, Reid, Ogbonna; Antonio, Noble, Obiang, Cresswell; Lanzini, Payet; Carroll.
