Chelsea and Manchester United who are giants Premier League campaigners have been reported to be eyeing a sensational £172 million summer move for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

After moving to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 for a then record of £86 million from Tottenham, the 27-year-old Welshman has enjoyed almost unprecedented success with the club winning the Champions League twice.

The report explained that the player has been a long target for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile Real Madrid may not want him to leave Santiago as there are reported plans of Gareth Bale replacing Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo when he leaves.
