No fewer than five persons have been arrested in Ebonyi State with four human heads.
The suspects were arrested at about 10:00 am on Wednesday along the boundary between Ebonyi and Enugu States.
A group of Department of State Services operatives on a high way patrol were said to have intercepted a commercial vehicle during a stop and search operation.
The suspects, according to Vanguard, attempted to abscond from the scene after the fresh human heads were discovered in a bag in their possession, but the said security operatives shot them on their legs to restrain them from running away.
Although the state Director of DSS, Mr. L. B. Baba, was quoted to have said he had little or no information about the incident, eyewitness reportedly said the human heads were displayed on the highway.
The security operatives were said to have whisked the suspects away to an undisclosed destination.
