personally I don't like anything that brings anyone to his/her kneels but I've seen people kneel before their spouse in expression of remorse for a wrong done. I'm not condemning the man but this doesn't look nice.

The action is KNEEL (To KNEEL down) = VERB e.g ''The teacher asked him to KNEEL down''
