Kebbi State Government Publicly Disregards First Wife, Aisha Bagudu As State’s First Lady

A mild drama recently occurred on Twitter leading to a public revelation that the popular Aisha Bagudu isn't recognized as first lady.  Recently, one of the national dailies - Daily Trust referred to Aisha Bagudu as the First Lady of Kebbi State.

"Kebbi's First lady, Aisha Bagudu spotted at daughter's edible fair"
the newspaper tweeted.
 
This prompted the response of the Kebbi State government via Twitter. The handler advised the newspaper to replace Aisha Bagudu's name with that of Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu.

"Pls correct the publication. Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu is the officially recognized First Lady"
