Arsenal..scoring goals & b trophy-less

Theo Walcott has backed Arsenal to start winning trophies once again following the 4-0 victory over Newcastle United in the League Cup.

The England international, who scored twice at St James' Park, praised his team-mates when asked whether it was the best Arsenal side he has played in.

"We have some fantastic players [that] I train with every day," he told Sky Sports. "Our attacking players are very flair [sic], we love to counter attack, we've got loads of pace and strength upfront; it's just great options we've got across the whole squad."

The 21-year-old, yet to collect a medal in senior football, also revealed his ambition to help the club, who haven't picked up a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup, to success.

"We want to win trophies and look back on our careers and the amount of trophies that we've won," he said. "It's none at the moment, but I'm sure if we play football like that there'll be many more to come."

The former Southampton man also dismissed the debate about his first goal, saying: "We don't mind, as long as they go in the back of the net and we get the result that's the most important thing."

The Gunners' four goals on Tyneside take their total for the season to 43 goals in 14 games, averaging more than three a game, but the secret to the success is simple.

"It's because we work hard and we do a lot of training in front of goal and when we do get our chances we take them," Bendtner said.

Arsenal should choose one...score less goal and celebrate trophy or scoring more goals & remain trophy-less. Let them celebrate trophy not goals.
