You can`t love without a sense of passion to it. But you can be room mates or co-occupants with no strings attached. It is as simple as that.

Love and passion are not the same thing.

It is very possible to have passion without love.But it is not possible to love without passion.Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, ...e.t.c.Passion is also an emotion of strong affection but can be either for love or  hate.You can either love or hate someone or something with a passion.But it is not possible to love and hate someone or something at the same time.
