The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently released a list of 19 items that are prohibited from being brought into the UTME examination hall.

This move comes as part of the board’s efforts to ensure the sanctity and fairness of the examination.

In a weekly bulletin, JAMB stated that all eyeglasses will be thoroughly inspected and any that may compromise the examination’s integrity will be confiscated.

It also warned that anyone found with any of the banned items in the examination hall may face severe sanctions.

According to the memo, examination officials are authorized to scrutinize eyeglasses or similar devices, and if they are convinced that such an item may compromise the examination’s sanctity, it should be confiscated.

This applies to both JAMB staff and ad hoc staff. If any authorized person is found with any of the prohibited items in the examination hall, such an action would be treated as a deliberate act of examination sabotage, and

6  Forum / Education / Graduate Who Travelled Abroad Reveals He Earns Over N25m in 1 Year As Bus Driver on: 19-04-2023 12:01 AM
Lincoln Bamfo, a Ghanaian bus driver living in London, has revealed that he earns over £45,000 (N25,717,749) per year from his job.

Bamfo, who is also a student at Accra Technical University, was born and raised in Belgium before moving to Accra Polytechnic.

In an interview, Bamfo shared that he makes a good living as a bus driver, earning over £45,000 in one year.

He explained that the UK system requires bus drivers to attend refresher courses or a week of training every five years, which is in contrast to Ghana’s system where drivers receive little training after obtaining their license.

Bamfo encouraged the Ghanaian government to construct training facilities to enable drivers to take refresher training courses after obtaining their licenses to prevent accidents and fatalities on the roads.

However, some of the comments on the interview were not as positive. One person suggested that Bamfo protect himself from troublemakers, while another asked him to reveal his basic salary without overtime.

Some people also questioned the value of his salary, given that he lives in the UK where the cost of living is high.

Despite the negative comment
