| Last week waz ma bday n i really dint feel lyk wakn up dat mornin buh, i managed 2 pull maself 2gether n go downstairs 4 brkfst. Hopn ma wyf wud atleast be pleasant n say 'Hapy Bday,' n possibly av a small present 4 me. Wel, as it turned out, she barely said gud mornin' let alone hapy bday. I tot..., wel, dats marriage4 u buh d kids.., d will rememba.
Ma kids came tramplin down d stairs 4 brkfst, n dint a word 2 me. I qietly made out of d house n drove 4 work prety dumpy n despondent.
Sha, as i walkd in2 ma office ma secretary, Joanne said "gudmornin n Hapy Bday, Boss!" I felt a bit beta knwn dat atleast som1 rememberd. I workd in a zombie lyk fashion until 1:00pm, wen joanne knockd n said, "U knw, its a beautiful day, y dont we go out 4 lunch, just d 2 of us." I said, ok. We went out 4 lunch but not were we'd normally go. instead she took me 2 a quiet bistro wit a private table. We had a couple of drinks n i enjoyd d meal. On our way back day office, joanne said, "u knw, we dont av 2 go ryt bac 2 d office, do we?" I replied, ok, wat do u av in mind. She said lets go 2 ma aprtment, its just around d corner.
After arrivin at her aprtment she turned n said, Boss, if u dont mind i'm goin 2 step in2 d bedroom 4 just a moment. I'll b ryt back. Ok!, i replied. She went in2 d bedroom n afta a couple of minutes, she came out carryn a huge BDAY CAKE............... followed by ma wyf, kidz n dozens of ma frends n co workers all singing HAPY BIRTHDAY................
