Tanzanian artiste, Naseeb Abdul, aka Diamond Platnumz, is a household name in his home country. He holds eight Kilimanjaro awards. Veteran Tanzanian musician, Maalim Gurumo, once described as the best ‘Bongo Flavour’ artiste of the decade.

The singer recently did a duet with Nigerian music star, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke in the remix of his single ‘Number One’ and he disclosed his happiness for achieving such feat.

Speaking about the collabo, Diamond revealed that the duet with Davido has now made the Nigerian star popular in Tanzania.

“I met Davido when he came over to Tanzania for a show and when we were together, he heard my song. I told him I would love to feature him on the remix of my song, ‘Number One’, and he agreed. Currently the song is topping charts in various African countries.”

“Shortly after, he released Aye and that made him very popular in my country as well. They love the song in my country. I featured Davido on the track because I wanted to launch myself into the West African market and he was the best person for the job. I used Davido to break into the West African market,” the Tanzanian singer said further.

Diamond was born on October 2, 1988.

The Chocolate City rapper has revealed that he had his first kiss at 13. Speaking in an interview last week, the ‘Aboki’ rapper disclosed this when he was answering questions about his se’x life.

‘I had my first kiss when I was 13,’ the rapper said coyly, while speaking with a reporter from Pulse.

This is a throwback to a 2012 interview where the rapper also revealed that he was r***d by an aunt when he was 13. ‘I had my first segxwal encounter. I would not say it was a good thing at all. It’s something I regret, whatever it was. It wasn’t a sweet experience at all.

I had this aunty, though we were not related, she was just a neighbour who was living close to us, who came into my room and slept with me.’ ‘It wasn’t a good experience at all. I was scared, very scared. I saw hell. It was a terrible experience. I am not excited talking about it at all.

Se’x is not that good. I think se’x is over-rated. I don’t know. ‘She just came into my room and just forced me to do it with her… Oh, let’s not talk about it. I was so young and innocent. There is something very funny about Twitter and its users that I really don’t understand. Why follow people simply because they are following you? Just a couple of months on twitter and I have come to place twitter users into four categories:

The One sided Tweeps: This group consist of people who simply don’t follow you back when you follow them. They tend to just want to accumulate followers or just don’t have the time to follow back.

The Noisy or Quite Tweeps: This group of people either tweet too much or too less. Those that tweet too much might actually not be tweeting about anything interesting thus filling your entire twitter timeline with junk of uninteresting tweets. While the quite ones are just occupying your friend list which has a maximum of 2000 by either having quit Twitter or have not bothered to write a single tweet at all.

Ghost Tweeps (Spammers): Those that I grouped here don’t have an image added to their profile and thus are more likely to be spammers. People who follow such tweeps might be prone to seeing malicious tweets on their timeline without actually knowing where it is coming from.

The Real Tweeps: Yes! Tweeps who fall under this category are those I call the actual tweeters. This group of people have tweets which are always very informative. You tend to gain a lot from their tweets as they know when to tweet and when not to, giving you the right information at the right time.

Some weeks ago, there were rumours that former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control Nigeria (NAFDAC), Professor Dora Akunyili was sick and was being treated in the United States of America (USA) for an undisclosed illness.  see post HERE

Few days ago, pictures of the ex-Minister of Information and Communications hit the internet and she was not looking as she used to be before.

However, Professor Dora and her husband, Chike Akunyili have now debunked the speculations and have also warned that such information should be disregarded by the public.

In a recent post on her Facebook page, captioned ‘I AM WELL, FIT AND READY FOR THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE’, Professor Akunyili said, “My Dear Friends, My attention has been drawn to a story making the rounds online claiming that I am seriously sick, currently out of the country and in need of urgent prayers.


“This story is baseless, unfounded and the handiwork of mischief makers. It should be ignored and discarded in its entirety. As every informed Nigerian knows, I am a Delegate to the National Conference currently holding in Abuja. I was duly accredited as a Delegate and I am currently in attendance at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja, and venue of the conference.

“While it is true that I recently came out of a major sickness, for which I thank Almighty God for delivering me, I have since been declared fit by my doctors and returned to my normal activities. I shed much weight in the course of the sickness – which is normal – but I am well now and only need time to re-grow some flesh. There is nothing to worry about either my health or my present stature.

“I know that God has kept me alive for a purpose, this National Conference being part of that purpose. For the avoidance of doubt, I am well now, fit, strong enough and ready for this all-important National Conference and I look forward to collaborating with other delegates to chart the way for a better Nigeria.
