6  Forum / Sports / STEPHEN KESHI RESIGNS HIS APPOINTMENT. on: 11-02-2013 08:05 PM
The Nigerian coach has submitted his resignation to the Nigerian Football Federation, after a dramatic falling out, and states that he will not change his mind
The Nigerian football fraternity was dealt with a huge blow on Monday evening, when their coach Stephen Keshi announced his resignation from his job as the coach of the national team, just less than 24 hours after he guided the Super Eagles to Afcon glory at the National Stadium.

Keshi claims that he was sacked prior to their quarterfinal clash against Ivory Coast, because apparently the Nigerian Football Federation booked a plane back to Nigeria as soon as they found out that they will play Ivory Coast.

However, Keshi claimed on Metro FM that he heard about the arrangement made by the NFF after the Mali game, and that he did not want to take it to mind as it would have affected his teams preparations.

Keshi’s resignation letter still has to be discussed by the NFF, and the coach says he is unlikely to change his mind, because he believes that NFF did not trust and respect his tactics as a coach.

The coach did tell Goal.com a few days before the final, that he would 'pack his bags and leave' if he felt he was not wanted, and it is a surprising turn of events after the coach was highly praised from all quarters.

Terrestrial TV, RSTV, AIT, NTA, will get signals to view LIVE. Sophie are u aware that the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) could not pay a viewing right FEE demanded from them by FIFA? That's is d much reason why non of these TV stations could view d matches LIVE. But information reaching us from some sport magazines this morning is that CAF has reached agreement on that with BON. could it b that they hv paid the money what was about $8.5million. BON said they can pay such money, Federal Govt of Nigeria said NO as well. The point here is all this while Nigerians hv been watching thru paid cable network particularly DSTV. So why will they pay now that is only 1 match left. I suspect some foul play........

I think MEN can cope in a world without WOMEN than women in a world without MEN.
17  Forum / Relationships & Romance / JUST IMAGINING: A WORLD WITHOUT WOMEN!!! on: 30-01-2013 10:53 AM
Pals what do you think! Lets assume in this whole world there was no single woman. Would a man's fun be complete? Tell me about yourself, a particular thing you would missed in a world without WOMEN.

For LADIES, imagine if you are to live in a world without a single MAN. would you hv missed a man for anything?

POLITICS IN NAIJA IS REAL BUSNESS OOO.
Where on earth will u steal such an amount and been ask to pay a fine of N25000, is as telling you to go home and enjoy the money with your family. Our Judiciary is a total failure. They have compromised their constitutional roles just bc of money. Lawyers in Nigeria hv no respect again. You still in Billions and settle in Thousands. Good Business. In economics it's call "Surplus maximization or Profit"
19  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Breaking News: CATHOLIC CHURCH EXIT CAN! on: 24-01-2013 01:51 PM
All is not well within the umbrella body for Christians in Nigeria, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), as the Catholic Church has withdrawn its membership of the body.

The Diocesan Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, Monsignor Christopher Ajala, stated this at a news conference organised as part of the activities to mark the 15th anniversary of the creation of the diocese.

Monsignor Ajala stated that the Catholic church suspended its activities in CAN because it was too close to government.

He alleged that the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor-led CAN had derailed from the objectives of the body, adding that the Catholic Bishops Conference was not comfortable with the development, hence its decision to pull out.

His words: “The Catholic Church took their stand before the purchase or the aircraft was donated to him. But what the Catholic Bishops Conference is complaining about is about the way they are running the national CAN now that is not meeting the objectives and the goals of CAN and the forefathers of CAN.

“CAN is now being run as part of the government and we said no.

“Because they (government) will dictate to us what to do and they will not take our advice seriously. The Catholic Church decided to withdraw from the activities of CAN at national level; we are still part of the state. We made our stand clear in November, last year, and by December, the man bought a jet. I don’t know how he got it but the president was there on that day the jet was delivered to him.

“So, what we are saying is that our religious leaders should be honest, upright and they should also be the conscience of this nation.

“If you are bought, the masses of this country are finished. If you can use money to buy our religious leaders, then there is no hope for the common man. That is the Catholic Church’s stand. We are supposed to speak for the people to correct the wrongs in the society and assist every government to know the will of God for them and we still stand by that” he declared.
