The problem is that our people do not think very well b4 giving their babe a name. I have seen many children here in europe changing their names despite bearing being english names. Like precious, kiss, happiness. They changed their names.

Hot temper can be changed with lot of patient and endurance. The two of you can not have the character, noway. In that case, one have to be a goat and the other must be a sheep.

69  Forum / Sports / Mess plays like PlayStation, said Wenger on: 7-04-2010 10:57 AM

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger acknowledged Barcelona's four-goal hero Lionel Messi was the difference on the night as his side crashed out of the Champions League following a 4-1 defeat at the Nou Camp.

Arsenal went ahead through Nicklas Bendtner early on to take the lead in the tie for the first time, but the Gunners' joy was short-lived as Messi struck a brilliant first half hat-trick, before compounding the Londoners' misery with a fourth late on.

Wenger likened Barca's brilliant Argentinian winger to a computer creation.

"He's like a PlayStation," the Arsenal coach said after the match, when asked to describe the Argentinian's performance.

"I think he can take advantage of every mistake you make. Barcelona are a very good side but of course they have Messi who can make the difference at any moment in the game," he said.

Wenger believes the 22 year-old can go on to become one of the great players of all-time.

"He is very young but he can achieve a lot - there are not many players who can score four goals like he did.

"He has six or seven great years ahead of him and he can become unbelievable - touch wood nothing happens to him," he said.

Wenger was upbeat despite Arsenal's quarter-final exit, but the Frenchman is concerned this result will have a detrimental effect on his side's Barclays Premier League title aspirations.

"Of course you worry because it's a big disappointment - we have to recover quickly to fight for the Premier League, and focus completely now on that," he said.

"It seems a very empty future (after a defeat like this). It's a big disappointment but we have to ready for the next game," he said.

Arsenal's next match is a trip to White Hart Lane for the north London derby next Wednesday and Wenger believes the prospect of facing local rivals Tottenham could give his players the lift they need following tonight's defeat.

"It's a place where we have done well (in the past) and it forces you to focus straight away because it's a derby," he said.

Wenger was missing a host of players through injury for tonight's match and admitted he would like to have been able to select captain Cesc Fabregas.

"It's difficult to know how much we missed Fabregas, tonight we missed seven or eight players, but if you had asked me before the game, of course I would love to have had Fabregas," he said.

The Gunners led for less than three minutes on the night, but Abou Diaby missed a great opportunity to set up Theo Walcott for a possible second goal when they were one up, and Wenger believes that was a key moment.

"We had a good opportunity to score the second goal. Before they equalised, we had a great chance to score again, but we made a very bad decision with the final ball and they came back straight away," he said.

"So there are regrets because we started well, but we made too many mistakes defensively and we were punished," he said.

Nevertheless, the Arsenal coach said he was proud of his young players and believes the club has a great future as the likes of Walcott, Bendtner, (Samir) Nasri and Diaby mature in the next few years.

"We had a very young team tonight and that is very positive - we had six or seven players under 23 in the team and they did well.

"Where we lacked maturity was in the final ball, but players like Walcott, Bendtner, Nasri and Diaby are all very young - they are showing great qualities every year and they will only get better," he said.

Wenger did admit that some changes will be necessary in the summer, but says he will take some time to reflect on what is required.

"We have to add something for sure, but we have some time to think about that," he said.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola saluted Lionel Messi and all his players after the holders crushed Arsenal to book their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Barca boss Guardiola admitted it was important they got back on terms after falling behind for the first time in the tie to Nicklas Bendtner's 19th-minute goal.

"There was danger at 1-0, but suddenly Messi scored the first goal and we played better. He played very well," he told Sky Sports.

"The rest of the team played very well over the two games.

"We are so happy because we are in the semi-final and we have eliminated one of the best teams in Europe in Arsenal.

"Last year we were lucky to win the Champions League and to arrive in the semi-final for the second year means people will talk more about my players."

Barcelona and Inter have already met twice in this season's competition, having both qualified from Group F after a 0-0 draw in Italy and a 2-0 success for Guardiola's men on home turf.

He added: "We don't have much time to prepare, only one week. It shows the group we played in was very difficult.

"They were two terrible games, but we are confident we can play well and continue to show our football to Europe and to the world."

72  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Child abuse on: 5-04-2010 06:14 PM

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Alhaji Ahmadu Giade, has said that the couple recently arrested with their six-year-old twins for allegedly being in possession of cocaine will be charged with child abuse and drug trafficking.

The agency's spokesman, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, disclosed Giade's position to our correspondent in a telephone interview on Sunday.

Giade said that it was saddening that drug traffickers could go to the extent of using innocent children to convey illicit drugs because of their selfish interests.

He said, "The action of the couple is callous, morally depraved and unacceptable. Apart from charging them with drug trafficking, they will also be charged with child abuse. It is unlawful for them to take an advantage of the kids' innocence and involve them in a serious criminal act of drug trafficking. No society will overlook such an act of debasement."

NDLEA officials reportedly arrested 46-year-old Bashir Jimoh; his wife, Adebukola, and their six-year-old twins for allegedly trafficking 4.050 kg of cocaine.

The family of four was to board an Arik flight to Heathrow Airport, London on March 28, 2010 when they were found with the illicit powdery substance.

Although the man had no drugs on him at the time of their arrest, the wife reportedly concealed 3.350kg in almost every part of her body. She had some on her Bosom s and underwear. The twins were also used in packing 700g of the illicit drug.

The children have since been released to family members while their parents are still being held.

The parents are said to be operators of a supermarket in Ajah, Lagos.

They told detectives that they needed to smuggle the drugs to enable them to pay their children's school fees, having been earlier duped of N2.2m.

"They were to pay us £3,000 while some quantity of the drugs would have been given to us. Initially, I rejected the suggestion, but they convinced my wife, who persuaded me to do it," Jimoh was quoted as saying.

The wife also blamed their involvement on the pressing need to pay school fees and other financial responsibilities.

"I have a problem of my children's school fees. I have six children and I intend to give them good education. I also have younger ones and aged parents to take care of. They asked me to swallow the drugs but I was afraid, that was why I packed them in my body," she stated.

Sex with emotion is all that is needed in every relationship. Nowadays, it is hard seeing two lovers with the passion of love. One feels that regular sex without emotion by the other is called sign of love. Ssome men and women are just having sex without passion and emotion and they called it love making.
74  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Naming meditation on: 5-04-2010 04:51 PM
I really baffles me a lot with some names from africa or let me say Nigeria precisely. We have nice and beautiful names both in traditional and religious and which also include some english names. Names like..John, Jesus, mahammed,Ibrahim, abraham Ayuba..
Adewale,Onome, Omono, Rukewe, Uche, Obi, Obinna,Dada.... Innocent, murphy, loveth,Anna, Leonarda and so on. Parents of nowadays do not think very well before naming their children by making a good effort to seach  for good names in the Holy bible or Holy Quran rather, they start giving names that is commonly say. Names like, beauty, kiss, precious, love, happiness, important delicious, dance.......... And am sure very soon we will start hearing names like, Ijebu, Onisha, benni,Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and so on...... as names. Isn´t that crazy and studip? Young parents are advised to give good names to their children. Hope to hear your opinion on this guys.

Barca host Arsenal tomorrow for the second leg of the CL. Both teams have seroius injury problems at the moment but it seems that Barca have 80% chance to go further. What say you guys?
76  Forum / Sports / Re: Arsenal draws Barca on: 1-04-2010 07:04 PM
(megafather1) You seem not to know barca very well. Puyol and pique will not change anything in Barca´s match. barca still have many other who can carry the cross or hold the pillars .So do not expect becos of puyol and pique, their defence will be opened. Barca have 90% chance to knock Arsenal out in the second leg at the camp Nou why bcos the first leg was 2-2 draw. arsenal have no other option than to go for attacking if they want to make it to the next round in the compitition and you know what that means, simply there will be open space in the Arsenal´s defence while barca with defend and attack.

Messi and ibra. will be another headache for arsenal in the second leg. Although football can not be predicted as to know who the winners will be but having lucky is the best. barca should had scored more than 5 goals in london and the match would have ended 2-5 but Barca´s luck was not there to make it all inside the net but ended 2-2. We shall see what happens next week.
77  Forum / Sports / Re: Arsenal draws Barca on: 1-04-2010 10:59 AM
The great barca tought Arsenal how to play excellently. Everyone testified to that. But saying Arsenal will beat Barca at the camp Nou, forget it. I do not like too much argument bcos I know the Arsenal fans argument too much and even though when they are being beaten in a match, they still keep arguing that Arsenal will win. I do really respect Arsenal alot and infact I like Arsenal´s way of playing with a brilliant style more than any other team in England. but when we are talking or comparing barca with Arsenal, my guys the different if obviously clear. barca is the greates of the two(Arsenal).
Barca await  Arsenal at the camp nou with 3-0.

It is obvious that Barca are great team despite not being having good records against the english clubs. Now the second leg will prove that barca father Arsenal in the champions league compititions. With 0-0 or 1-1 is enough for Barca. We shall see what will happen next week. So, my people, what say you?

The Federal Road Safety Commission has warned its officers to shun the idea of collecting bribe and other forms of gratification from members of the public.

Assistant Corps Marshal Danjuma Garba, who gave the warning in Lagos on Thursday, said that any official caught in the act of extortion would be made to face the commission's disciplinary court.

Will they ever stop collecting bribe?
