| | Quick question to the lovely ladies on this site. Why do black women get fat after passing about 26/27 years of age or their first child. Just wondering why. Is it because they don't do any exercise because they get their younger ones to do all the housework and almost everything around the house, or is it becuase they are just lazy and eat too much? | | | | |

| They wanna keep the family heritage, background, culture, tradition, and for some race constant in the family lineage. Some also feel comfortable when their kids marry from the same country/tribe cuz they'll be able to relate well with both sides of the family communicate in the same language practice same culture/traditions. Etc. But in interracial marriages or marrying to ppl from other countries it's different.
dlimelite........how nice it is to see at least one sensible person on this site. As a foreigner whose married to a Nigerian woman it's an interesting subject. I know my wifes side of the family and my wife knows my side of the family. If you want to talk about cultural differences, my side have asked for nothing from my wifes side, but my wifes relatives are alaways asking me for money as almost none of them are working, have no hope for a job and just want to sponge off me. Apart from that I really like my wifes Mother who is a hard working Nigerian woman, I just wish all her kids would try and do something with their lives. by the way, we live in Europe and my wife has settled in very well into a majority white culture but still remains in regular contact with all her family. | | | | |

| Mizcollins - it seems that you must be the resident expert for the subject so this means you have slept with both age ranges, nothing wrong with that of course, you are your own person. I have the following observations, comments re this subject. I'm from the elderly Oyinbo group and speak for my group only. I agree that in the most part it's for the money, secondly for financial security long term, however, most of the Nigerian girls I've known over the years say that elderly men, both black and white are more mature. Yes, pounding the fufu may not what we elderly can do, so ladies if that's what you want take Mizzcollins advice and do the pampering urself and then get the pounding from the young'un's. btw, black really is beautiful girls, but you've always known that haven't you.............. | | | | |

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) said on Wednesday in Abuja that it denied 31,556 foreigners entry into the country between January and May.
The NIS Public Relations Officer, Mr Joachim Olumba, said that the organisation refused the foreigners visas following a Federal Government order on closure of the borders.
President Goodluck Jonathan had ordered the closure of some of the country’s borders on Jan. 1, in his New Year national broadcast.
Olumba said 5,603 illegal immigrants were also repatriated from the country during the period under review.
He said discussions were on between the immigration service and other relevant agencies to remove settlement areas around the country’s borders.
``The aim is to build new communities for settlement so as to give the people a sense of belonging as their relocation is important to resolving the current security challenges in the country,’’ Olumba said.
He stressed the need to resettle and empower border settlers to discourage their involvement in illegal activities in the area.
Olumba said a situation where people live along the borderlines was further frustrating the efforts of the service to control illegal movement of people and contrabands in the border.
He said the service was also exploring a Public Private Partnership (PPP) to tackle challenges in the management of the country’s borders.
``The arrangement will entail the construction of border plazas with high technology migration facilities, offices and barracks for security operatives,’’ he noted.
