So I order a CD-rom: Speaking Ibo and it's harder than I thought - speaking Ibo that is. I can't read Ibo so fortunately you can download it on your ipod, which I did and I listen to words. It's frustrating because I’m not sure if the words they are saying is true; I understand Ibo but I don’t speak it fluently so the CD would translate a word in Ibo and I know in Ibo the word is actually something else. Maybe it’s because I got the CD-rom for beginners and I’m not actually a beginner. You wouldn't be able have a converstion with the words the are translating. The CD just takes words and translate them in Ibo. It’s one of those CDs for travelers.  I’ll put some words and translation up so real Naijas can help me. I can’t read Ibo so try to give a detailed explanation --- if you can.

Usher and Tameka file for separation

It's only been nine months, but sources in this story say that Usher filed for separation from Tameka three weeks ago.

I hope this link can post; it provides another link I couldn't post.
http://cocoalounge.org/viewthread.php?tid=45269

Well what do we have here?  Extremely reliable sources close to Mr. Raymond himself have confirmed to TheYBF.com that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only 9 months Tameka Raymond.  I’m told he actually filed three weeks ago.  And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it “leak”.  How convenient that his album releases in exactly 6 days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday.  We’ve been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts (remember the Chilli breakup right before Confessions?).  So I’m really not surprised.

But it is interesting that Mrs. Raymond was just on set with Usher for his MTV snippet tapings on Sunday.  At the very beginning of their relationship almost a year ago, sources were screaming left and right that this whole relationship was a sham and Tameka was strictly a pawn.  And their relationship was all for publicity for his soon to be released album.  And clearly this may not have been as far fetched as people thought.

At this time, it’s unclear as to what reason–if any–Ursh is going to give for their separation.  But I have two guesses…both of which fit the classic Usher-pre-album-release-publicity stunts he has pulled before with previous album releases. Either the beef between the Mrs. and Mama Ursh is too much for Usher to handle, or he found out baby Usher V is not his.  Regardless, Urshmeka is chillin’ on Splitsville Lane right now and time will only tell how this is all about to play out.

She's stupid...did she know that he was married before she started to "dated" him? Men rarely leave their wives for their sideline ho. The best thing for her to do is ignore him, tell him it's over; yes that's easier said than done but she needs to know that she has no obligations to him, his wife or his kids. What exactly is she expecting?? If she didn't know he had a wife, I don't blame her and I don't think she should hurt the wife by telling her (b/c the wife didn't know about her and she didn't know about the wife). If she knew he was married, then she gets what she gets. She should leave him alone, change her number and the locks on the door. If he's start to stalk her, get order of protection (assuming this is the US) and then bring it to the wife's attention. I think we can assume that he is a cheater and as cheated on on his wife multiple times, so he will find some other sideline ho. Tell your friend to leave married men alone.

I think alittle less than that; about 8 months. I believe by about 6 months it should cross your mind...if not, you are wasting your time.

What is benefit of sex in a relationship?
Why is Sex Needed in a relationship?
What effect does it have ?

it makes the relationship tighter, u know with fallin deep in love n stuff.
Needed cuz not everyone is a virgin..u get horny and u want your cherry popped.
It has so many effects and too many to lists..so you're better off picking up a pamphlet or something. Cool Cool

LOL...

What is the essence of relationship without sex? I think sex spices up relationship and makes it hotter.

As long as sex does not define the r/ship....

Why is that Nigerians raised in America looked down upon by Nigerians who were actually raised in Nigeria??

This question is actually about me. I was raised here in America (I have been here since I was 5yrs old) been back to Nigeria twice, understand Ibo but don't speak it well. But alot of Nigerians do not consider me Nigerian which real bothers me.

Now why would Nigerians not consider me Nigerian?

I guess the reason Nigerians don't consider you a Nigerian is because you are probably soooooooo Americanized. Most Nigerian men like women they can control and treat wrongly so, when they come across a woman like you who wouldn't take water from them then they tend to regard you as non Nigerian. Also there are certain things the Nigerian culture does not permit which is typically normal in the US.

That's true..I noticed that. But you would think that a man wants a woman of his equal and not someone who he can just control. My mother raised me to be able to stand up for myself (and not to depend on a man); however this is very different from how my mom is to my dad. I still follow some Nigerian traditions (culture) but being raised in America, I couldn't help but incorporate American culture within. But I don't believe it makes me any less Nigerian. And when I see Nigerian woman and woman doing something I don't like, I don't say anything unless it affects me.
