Forum / Law and Crime / Re: Abuja Based Lawyer, Onyemobi Chucks Arrested For Rapping 17-Year-Old Girl In His House (Photos) |

| On his refusal to submit for medical examination, that should not worry us. The Prosecution will tender the Doctor's report during proceedings and assert that the semen found on the girl is that of the accused. If he denies that, the onus will shift on him to prove that it is not his own and the only way he can destroy the Prosecution's evidence will be by submitting himself for seminal analysis, in order to compare the semen found on the girl and that of his own. | | |

| Unless he confessed before he gave up the ghost that he perpetrated the heinous act, Police should go all out and do thorough investigation. You never can tell, they may come up with something different from the assumption that he wiped out his own family. We have had cases in Nigeria here where people were misled to believe something different from what actually happened, until the Police, through very painstaking investigation, arrested the culprit, who turned out to be the Son of the victims. | | |

| It is not funny. Who fixed their salaries and allowances. Even with such over bloated pay package, they are still more interested in oversight functions than carrying out their fundamental duties as lawmakers because of what they benefit from such organizations and agencies. We have more than a long way to go in fighting corruption in this Country. | | |

| you are a very stupid human being. Someone that has been in the police force before the 1996 olympics where she won the only individual gold medal. Let assume she joined the police in 1996( we all know she has been in the police before then, count from then till now and know approximately how long she has been in the service. If the Olympic was hosted in Nigeria, fools like you will say she won it with her pu***. Hard work and honesty pays, she deserves more than that, cos we have not had any other individual Olympic gold medal( not talking about para Olympic) till date.
I concur my dear. | | |

Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: ‘Leave Me In Prison Please’-Drama In Anambra Prison As Inmate Refuses To Go Home After Been Rele |
on: 15-12-2017 07:19 PM
| This is the height of injustice. After his incarceration since 2012, all the Chief Judge could do is to release him on health grounds. He should have ordered thorough investigation as to why this young man was dumped in the cell since 2012 and if need be, order accelerated hearing to determine his culpability or whether actually, some people ganged up with the Police, Court and Prison official to put the young man away and grab his inheritance. So after 5 years without diligent prosecution, all he can get is to go home and die, having contacted life threatening illness in the prison custody. Chief Judge, please review this man's case. Your absolute power under the prerogative of mercy goes beyond setting the captive free. You can inquire into the immediate and remote causes of his incarceration for such a long period of time without trial and punish those found guilty of scuttling his prompt and diligent prosecution. Justice delayed, we all know, is justice denied. A young man's ambition in life has been put on hold for 5 years and no body is saying anything. Too bad. | | |

Forum / Politics / Re: Adamawa SSG, Umar Bindir Supports Fulani Herdsmen Carrying Arms & AK47 (Video) |
on: 15-12-2017 06:59 PM
| I do not understand the relationship between Banks ferrying their millions with Bullion Vans and Fulani Herdsmen carrying AK47. If you think their cows are worth millions and need protection, they should apply for Police protection like the Banks or report their presence to the nearest Police Division where their animals are grazing so that adequate protection will be given to them. How many cow rustlers have they killed with their AK47 other than use same to kill and steal from high way users and defenseless farmers. From the legal point of view, are they licensed to carry fire arms? Other Nigerians found in illegal possession of fire arms are adequately punished according to law. Why is their own different? Who does not need protection in this Country? | | |

| Why is it only non-Muslims that they deploy to volatile dominantly Muslim enclaves. Publish the names of the officers that sat and passed judgement against these young officers. How are we sure that the so called rescued civilians are not Boko Haram terrorists captured and set free by Muslim senior army officers. I am surprised that despite the number of Boko Haram fighters arrested in the last few years, not one has been properly prosecuted and sentenced. What is the motivation for the junior officers fighting the insurgents if at the end of the day, the terrorists keep laughing last while we keep losing our fine officers. Most of the so called rescued civilians are actually terrorists who are overpowered by the fire power of our young officers. No soldier should be killed because of Boko Haram insurgents, whether they are called rescued civilians or surrendered fighters or whatsoever. Journalists should be allowed to interview the condemned soldier, to enable the public hear his own side and balance the story. | | | |
