As long as he did traditional wedding then he is your lawful husband. Traditional wedding has more value than white wedding which is just a western import. The American legal system also fully recognises common law marriage so he doesn't need to do any court or white wedding to travel with you as your husband. You have three kids with him so there must be some love in the relationship, there's no point being so bitter. But if there's no more love between both of you because you are now more financially stable than he is or whatever the reason may be, then the best thing is to divorce him traditionally and move on with your life.
