Tired of constantly being broke & stuck in an unhappy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, and then arranging to have her killed.

A ‘friend of a friend’ put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of ‘Artie.’ Artie then explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was $5,000.

The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn’t have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife’s insurance money.

Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his wallet, displaying the single dollar bill that rested inside. Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the dollar as down payment for the dirty deed.

A few days later, Artie followed the man’s wife to the local Super Wal-Mart store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands & as the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath & slumped to the floor……..

The manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol’ Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well.

However, unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras & observed by the store’s security guard, who immediately called the police. Artie was caught & arrested before he could even leave the store. Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual financial arrangements with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested.

The next day in the newspaper, the headline declared

‘ARTIE CHOKES 2 for $1.00 AT WAL-MART!’

Arjen Robben has extended his contract with Bayern Munich through to 2015 on Thursday despite his dispute with teammate Franck Ribery during the Champions League semifinals.

The pair clashed during halftime of the 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg last month, with the bust-up delaying the signing of a new deal for Robben.

But Bayern said the 28-year-old Netherlands winger had signed a two-year extension, removing a potential distraction ahead of the Champions League final.

"I've always said that I feel very, very well in Munich and that's why I've extended my contract early,'' Robben said in a Bayern statement. "Bayern is like a family for me. Two of my three children were born in Munich, my family and myself feel at home here.

"It's the right decision from the sporting point of view, too. We have a great team and I am sure we are going to have the greatest possible success in the coming years.''

Bayern knocked out Madrid in a penalty shootout after the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu stadium also finished 2-1.



Bayern will play the Champions League final against Chelsea on May 19 at its own stadium.

The team will finish second in the Bundesliga and plays the German Cup final against league champion Borussia Dortmund.

"Arjen is a very important player for Bayern Munich and a guarantor for a successful future of the club,'' Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.

Robben had been unhappy, not only because of his feud with Ribery but also because Bayern chairman Franz Beckenbauer had called him "selfish.'' The often-injured player was also benched for a few games by coach Jupp Heynckes.

Speaking before Bayern announced the deal, Heynckes said Ribery had apologized and the club "has done what was necessary.''

"We have great targets and they can reached only with both of them in top form,'' Heynckes said.

Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said Robben was highly regarded in the team.

"Every club would want to have such a player,'' Schweinsteiger said.
