61  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: Breaking News: Legendary Nigerian Comedian "Sam Loco" Is Dead ! on: 8-08-2011 05:33 AM
I just got some information on Twitter that Sam Efe Loco is not dead. I don't even know who to believe again. It was all over the web yesterday that he died in a Hotel in Imo State after coming back from location. I don't know why people will rush to publish stories without verifying the information given to them. It is a big problem with the Nigerian Media. I hope Sam Loco's Publicists ( If he has a PR Agency managing him ) will come out to clear the air. Is Sam Loco dead or alive? We need to know the true situation of his health today. Cheers.

Obinna Onwueke is really good. I feel he should be encouraged with some investors really backing him with money so he can create more stories that can be marketed as authentic African Animation. Obinna has the graphic skills that can take him to the greatest heights. I've seen several clips of the 'Mark of Uru' and I'm impressed. Keep it up, Bruv. Cheers.

This is very bad. The 'soldier' in question has to be thoroughly investigated and punished for what he did. Besides entering into Aso Rock unlawfully, he has also broke the law by claiming to be a soldier in the Nigerian Army. In other climes, all the security guys in Aso Rock will be questioned and replaced for allowing the fake soldier move about unchallenged. God bless Nigeria.

I agree that child bearing should be controlled in Nigeria. President Goodluck Jonathan himself complained about the high birthrate in the country. The actual population of Nigeria cannot be ascertained because we are not good at Record Keeping and the likes of it. A lot of children are born every week in Nigeria and they are not registered. They don't even have birth certificates. Controlling and being able to document the actual number of people in Nigeria will enable the Government plan effectively for them. Limiting couples to having three children is ideal but I also feel the Western world has an agenda behind the plan. The Western countries have too many old people and the younger ones are not giving birth to enough children. Children of immigrants are more than those of the native peoples of Europe. So the West wants to control the birth of children in the home countries of the Immigrants in Europe. The wars of the future will be fought on Population control. Cheers.

65  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: State/Country Of Origin: Where you grew up or where your parents were born? (Page 11) on: 28-05-2011 11:49 AM
I was born in Lagos but my Dad is Edo State. Right from my Nursery School Days, My Parents always write Edo State as my State of Origin. I grew up with the notion that Edo State is my State. When I grew older, I came across my Birth Certificate one day and found out that I was born In Lagos. Many of my friends were also born in Lagos but 98% of them claimed the States of their Fathers as their State of Origin. I have never claimed anything from the Lagos State Government though I was born in the State. I feel some laws should be implemented in Nigeria. Once you're born in State with a Birth Certificate to prove it, you should be able to claim that state as yours in any documentation. You should also be able to contest for political posts in that State. Obama became the President of the United States of America because he was born in Hawaii. His dad was from Kenya. Being born in Europe is another matter entirely. Most Europeans will still ask you where you're from originally even if you were born in Britain, France or Germany. However, you'll be allowed to aspire for Political Posts if you're born in any European Country. We need to change our mentality in Nigeria Angry Angry Angry

Quote from: nestoba on 15-05-2011 07:45 PM
Nigerians Abroad need not become ministers , they should however come up with some salient ideas for national development. First the problem of Nigeria is lack of proper identification of people and corporate persons. Nigerians in Abroad should tell the government of Nigeria reasons why Nigeria is not functioning as a Nation. When you are in Nigeria, you hardly know what is wrong, your citizens rights and obligations.  Nigerians in Abroad should tell the government that it is time to have social security system and tax system working, social security system is the bedrock of any society that want to advance human development and good governance.

The current situation in Nigeria though volatile cannot be used as a case for seeking Asylum in the US. The American Government is not gullible as most Nigerians think. The crises is the country has not become a full blown war. The US Government is watching and they gather intelligence daily. Cheers.

As much as I believe Political Parties need time to develop and have an ideology, I feel having so many Parties at this time of our evolution as a Nation is not good. So I'm supporting the De-registering of the Parties listed. I'm even shocked that the old Alliance for Democracy ( AD ) did not win any seat. Too bad :'( :'(  There is no Political Party in Nigeria that has an ideology as we speak today. What do our Political Parties stand for? Are they Communist or Socialist oriented or are they Republican? Are they liberal in nature? Our Parties need to be ideological as soon as possible. Cheers.

Man, this is getting too much. Nigerians are known to be Scammers and Fraudsters in Europe. These stupid few are just giving us a bad name. Are there no other ways to make money in the White Man's land? That is why I'm not sorry for them when they they get caught. These 419 guys need to realize that the Ploce in Europe and America are sophisticated and good at detecting crimes than the corrupt Nigeria Police Force. There is nothing like hardwork and perseverance. Cheers.

70  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Why do our fellow naija men in the uk marry southern african ladies (Page 10) on: 15-05-2011 08:06 PM
Very interesting thread. I've come across a South African lady in England and she was very cultured and good mannered. I've also met a Zimbabwean lady who was actually a Supervisor where she worked. She had good diction and was intelligent. Many ladies from South Africa and Zimbabwe are very well behaved. White Zimbabwean ladies are not different from their Black counterparts. They are also very beautiful. I feel Nigerian Girls are too money conscious and also have a lot of responsibilities to take care of back in Nigeria. I've come across many Nigerian Girls in Britain and most of them have issues. Money comes first to them and not tenderness. It is really sad. South African ladies are mostly well mannered ( They've got a few bad eggs ) and educated. There are some good Nigerian ladies in Britain though but they are just 0.8% of the total population. I believe guys should be free to marry or date who they want. Cheers.

71  Forum / The Buzz Central / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Wande Coal Is About To Quit Mohit Records (Page 4) on: 15-05-2011 07:38 PM
Wande Coal is good and I respect his musical approach. I believe that man has a right to self determination. No man should be down by people who don't have plans for him. If Wande Coal leaves MoHits, it won't be a new thing in Nigeria's music industry. Tuface Idibia was with Kennis Music for a long time but he left to form his own Record Label, Hypertek Records. Ego Ogbaro was Lagbaja's lead singer for many years, but she is now a solo artiste. I believe Wande should follow his heart and go solo. He should sign with another label and get new Producers who will work on his new material. D'banj and Don Jazzy went to the United States to record with Snoop Dogg and left him in the cold about their plans in Nigeria. That is unfair. Wande, go solo. Life goes on.

Temidayo's life was just wasted for nothing. What is a Blackberry Phone compared to the life of a young boy? South London is becoming an area infested with teenagers who don't have anything productive to do with their time. Whenever there is a stabbing in London, it is most likely going to be a young black boy that will be the victim. When will these madness stop? The Black Community needs to institute a process or outfit that will curb Black on Black violence and killings. What are Black Community Elders and Famous Celebrities doing? Those boys in Camberwell and Peckham need some talking to. Hmn.

This is a very serious issue. I feel very sorry for the young man. There are a lot of things people can do abroad instead of dealing drugs and prostitution. When Nigerians that are not intelligent or educated travel, there is no way they won't engage in illegal activities in order to make money and show off to people back home. I feel really sorry for Nigerians caught in the web of drug trafficking in foreign lands. Nigeria is not America or Britain, so the Vietnamese authorities will do what they want to do with thus guy. Very sad.

KSB should take heart. I will miss DAGRIN. He was a legend and remains so. Dagrin was very creative and he would have collaborated with top American Hip-Hop artistes if he had not died untimely. I still listen to his songs and I remain his fan. 'GHETTO DREAMZ' is being shown @ Cinemas all over Nigeria. Take the time to go and see the movie with your family and loved ones. Cheers.

75  Forum / Relationships & Romance / Re: Are The Fulani Women The Prettiest In Nigeria? (Page 16) on: 1-05-2011 07:52 AM
I think Fulani ladies are very beautiful but I won't agree that one tribe has more beautiful women than others in Nigeria. I was in Abuja in 2002 for about 3 months and I must confess that I came across a lot of pretty Fulani girls. You will know a Fulani lady with the way they dress. I saw one at Kubwa Market and I kept gazing at her for minutes. She was about 5 feet and very shapely. The Fulani have intermarried with the Hausa people so the ladies are sometimes a crossbreed but they are really amazing. During my service year, I saw lovely Igbo girls. Igbo girls are beautiful too. I just think the black race is blessed. Black women are beautiful. Every tribe in Nigeria has lovely ladies. I'm proud to be Nigerian. Cheers.

I am happy for Tony One Week. I love his music and he is a very focused young man. He has to get rid of that funny hair cut as he is now a role model to youths all over Nigeria. Leadership is serious business all over the world these days. I wish him the best. I'm also happy that the Action Congress Of Nigeria is making inroads in the Eastern parts of the country. I feel Tony One Week won because of his celebrity status. I wish him the best.

This is really good. I find it very funny but also serious. Women will always find a way to tell you they don't want you and you've got to get the message and move on to other things. The painful thing is a good number of ladies dump guys that could have been their husbands because they can't see the diamonds buried in their men. Very painfu :'( :'( :'(
