There is no need to abolish female circumcision. No one is advocating change in cultural and traditional values. There are clear health and social evidences to circumcise women. The argument against it is it prevents women from enjoying sex - this is shallow argument proposed by western wh*res. No evidence to prove that too much flesh gives women more or less pleasure. Less of it helps prevent contraction of STD and less promiscuity which reduces social illness in our society. Circumcision is healthy when done by qualified physicians and at the right age.
As for the OSU cast prejudices in IGBO nation. The OSU people are free and have always been free in IGBO lands.I don't know of any law - traditional or not that infringes on OSU people human rights or freedom both now and in the past. What has always been an issue is the inter-marriage with nwa di ala. I must say that it has never been generally condemned in IGBO lands. It is down to families to accept whom to engage in marriage with.
Let us look at the hypocrisy of your proposed western education. It is not against the law these days in Europe and America for inter-marriage between blacks and white but most people or shall I say families still don't approve of it. The same applies to OSU prejudices in IGBO land.
But when you speak about giving the hand of a six year old girl out in marriage - GOD! - this is beyond reasoning, culture or tradition. It is more animals-tic behaviour than human.
