Ummm..I wld say u r lucky to get a guy that's sincer..coz he cld as well "play along" , deceiving you...I wld suggest you carry on..dont try to "force" urself on someone that doesnt want/need it....search for a "FRIEND" b4 looking for a lover coz a friend can easily turn to a lover but a lover might not necessarily be a Friend.
