Now, this is one hilarious and daring news to set off your Sunday on a good footing. Akon was in Cross River state to perform at the annual Calabar Carnival along side Psquare, MayD and Jmartins. The Senegalese born American R & B superstar was busy doing his performance inside the UJ Esuene stadium when he noticed a group of boys fighting and asked them to stop.
 
According to what we gathered, the singer threatened to go through the mammoth crowd to settle the fight if they wouldn’t stop but the fighting group were too busy drawing blood to listen and before the fans knew what was happening, Akon had jumped into the crowd even as his bodyguards were taken by surprise.
 
He reportedly kept screaming “Lift me up..ama go out there, take me there.” Instead of lifting him to where the fight was taking place, the crowd was more interested in stripping him of his belt and the left leg of his shoe. By the time his bodyguards reached him, his belt buckle was gone too.
 
Not one to give up easily, Akon went back stage and to the crowd’s bewilderment, the singer got into some kind of protective balloon, stood on stage and then suddenly leapt into the crowd, shielded by that balloon as the crowd kept throwing him around the stadium like a ball.
 
Eventually, he fulfilled his mission and the Calabar crowd steered him safely back towards the stage where he came out of the balloon sending the crowd into a wild frenzy.

Naeto C Attacks Sturvis Media Vice President

​Naetochuckwu Chikwe popularly known as Naeto C has shown his love for his wife by fighting in public. Reports say that the rapper went uncivilised at DJ Neptunes' wedding, held at City Hall, Lagos Island.

Eyewitnesses confirm it all started at the reception of the wedding, when mr Lewis Grant, blogger with Sturvs Media mistakenly stepped on Nicole Chukwueke, Naeto C's wife's dress. The blogger was taking pictures of DJ Neptunes and his wife at the reception when he stepped on Nicole's dress who was standing with Naeto C right behind Lewis.

Sources said that Naeto C pushed Lewis and commanded him to get out of his presence. Lewis reportedly told Naeto C not to command him like a little boy, that won him a slap.

Naeto C didn't stop at the slap, he went further tearing Lewis' shirt before military men joined him to beat hell out of Lewis.

Probably, the rapper forgot that fighting in someone's wedding could spoil the fun of the wedding.

Hmmmm no comment.... But am kinda wondering if this gown this dude stepped on is made with diamonds.....

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), on Tuesday night, arrested Alhaji Aminu Sule Lamido, the eldest son of the Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, over allegation of money laundering.

Aminu was said to have been nabbed by EFCC operatives while waiting to board an Egypt Airline to Cairo, as he was caught in possession of $40,000 (about N7.5 million) above to the authorised $10,000 allowed while on a foreign trip.

The spokesman for  EFCC, Wilson Uwajaren, confirmed that Aminu was in custody.

Uwajaren said when Aminu had declared $10,000, ading that after interrogation, additional $40,000 was found on him, making the whole foreign currency on him to be $50,000.

He added that the commission would announce appropriate date for his arraignment.

Efforts by the Nigerian Tribune to get comments from the state government failed, as the state Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Babandi Gumel, did not respond to calls and text messages sent to his phone.

Also, opposition parties in the state declined to comment over arrest of the governor’s son.

Reports from the state indicated that the commissioner, media aide to the governor and many top government officials had switched off their handsets, in order to avoid journalists.

Commenting on the matter, a former member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Nasuru Garba Dantiye, said he was not in any way surprised by the arrest, adding that “the EFCC should also invite government officials for interrogation.”
