A young Technician and his General Manager board a train headed through the mountains on its way to Wichita. They can find no place to sit except for two seats right across the aisle from a young woman and her grandmother.
After a while, it is obvious that the young woman and the young tech are interested in each other, because they are giving each other looks.
Soon the train passes into a tunnel and it is pitch black. There is a sound of a kiss followed by the sound of a slap. When the train emerges from the tunnel, the four sit there without saying a word.
The grandmother is thinking to herself, "It was very brash for that young man to kiss my granddaughter, but I'm glad she slapped him."
The General manager is setting there thinking, "I didn't know the young tech was brave enough to kiss the girl, but I sure wish she hadn't missed him when she slapped and hit me!"
The young woman was sitting and thinking, "I'm glad the guy kissed me, but I wish my grandmother had not slapped him!"
The young tech sat there with a satisfied smile on his face. He thought to himself, "Life is good. How often does a guy have the chance to kiss a beautiful girl and slap his General manager all at the same time!" | | | | |

| A 42-year old man, Alao Shobowale has been charged before the Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, southwest Nigeria for allegedly molesting a 12-year old girl through her anus.  Shobowale, also known as Alasco, allegedly rubbed his p*****s and the victim’s anus with ointment and molested her. The incident occurred at Togodo Street, Temu in Epe, Lagos. On the day the incident, Shobowale, a businessman, reportedly invited the girl to his room around 10 p.m., shut the door and removed her pant. He later molested her. The matter became public when the girl could not bear the pain and started crying. Her parents and neighbours were said to have forced Shobowale’s door open and found the victim with blood dripping from her anus. The matter was reported to the police and the accused was arrested and transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba. He was charged before the court on a two-count charge of rape. He pleaded not guilty and Magistrate S.O. Solebo granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. | On the10 March 2013, 500 volunteers that included Jumia staff, Gbemi(Beat FM), Dami(Beat FM), Djinee, Weird MC, Shawlz (Classic FM), Lilian Unachukwu, Jeffery Daniel, Tosin Bucknor, Phyno, Ice Prince, Dammy Krane, Eminic, Joseph Benjamin, Toke Makinwa, Tillaman, Godwin& Sabina(Naija FM), Ill Bliss, Koch, Shadow d Don and many more celebrities converged in Ebute Metta for ‘Jumia feeds Lagos’, an event put together by Nigeria’s online retailer to hand a new lease of life to the destitute and less privileged in the society.
The day saw volunteers converge early in the day, with all hands on deck as they cooked up a storm for the less privileged. There was also lots of fun, music, games and more on hand to spice up the day. Highlight of the day was the volunteers interacting one on one with the less privileged with an aim to giving them ‘HOPE’ for tomorrow. As part of the joys of the day, Jumia also presented Okobaba Open Field, Ebute Metta venue of the event with a pumping machine to drain their playing field during the rainy season.
According to Afam Anyika, Public Relations manager at Jumia, “It is of great honor to introduce such a CSR initiative. ‘Jumia feeds Lagos’, a project initiated by Jumia Nigeria, Nigeria’s number 1 online retailer, a day for extending benevolence to the less privileged and destitute in the society. The latest gizmo to come from the Google workshop is designed to keep you connected – even if you’re running away. The tech giant has outfitted a pair of unassuming ADIDAS shoes with a computer a speaker, as well as an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a pressure sensor.
While making movements, the shoe can actually talk to the person wearing them.
The device made its debut late last week during the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.
Aman Govil, lead of the advertising arts team, told ABC News: "The talking shoe is an experiment in how you can use connected objects to tell stories on the Web today."
The shoe utilizes Bluetooth technology to connect itself to the internet, and can provide location and directions using Google’s mapping app.
The computer also enables the shoe to react based on the wearer’s movements, or lack thereof.
If you’re sitting on a park bench, the shoe may inform you: "This is super boring."
It’s a part of the Art Copy & Code project, which has been designed to deliver a new frontier of marketing and advertising.
Govil told ABC: "If you put what the shoe knows through an algorithmic logic engine, it can translate it into copy.
"Now if you give that copy to an interesting copy writer, you could give the shoe personality. One shoe could be the trash-talking shoe."
The possibilities are endless, but the shoes can be worn by favorite athletes and let their Twitter followers know how fast they’re going during a particular sporting event, for example.
But Google claims that it has no plans yet to develop the fancy footwear into a shoe empire.
Govil told ABC: "We’re not getting into the shoe business. We are in the social network and advertising business."
And Google is not the first company to get involved in the footwear industry.
In January, Apple announced that it was developing an athletic shoe that would let its owner know when its time to buy a new pair.

| | Nigerian female rapper Adesola Adesimbo Idowu popularly called Weird MC is thanking God to be alive today after she recently escaped death from an angry military officer who threatened to kill her.
According to her, she spotted the military officer driving with his family on Lagos Ibadan Expressway and cautioned him to watch out because of his safety and that of his family.
And to her surprise, the military officer stopped, brought out a knife and threatened to kill her.
Weird MC said she had no option but to escape for her life.
“People can be very irate. I had to run for my life.” – Weird MC said
