1188  Forum / Politics / NIGERIANS, BE AT ALERT! on: 25-11-2008 12:53 PM
This to alert all Nigerians to be at alert from now on till January 2009. This statement is not unconnected with the fact that this is the period all government agencies, ministries, parastatals, extra-ministerial establishments are expected to remit all unspent moneys to the FG's treasury. Unlike what happened last year in the ministry of health which led to the greed of some people landin' in EFCC cell, under govt whatever just manoveur and divert the unspent moneys for self gains. Nigerians should cry out ooooooo!

When d erstwhile Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Comm (EFCC), Chief, oh sorry, Mr Nuhu Ribadu was sent on compulsory course at the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies-NIPSS, Kuru in Jos, Plateau State, it was greeted with a lot of criticisms but the FG maintained it was for good. The said good was put to play when Mr EFCC was humiliated out of the venue of the graduation of the 9-month course. Could then be said that NEMESIS caught up him?
Or is it that the corrupt political office holders he exposed were at play? Is it also not convenient to say that president Yar'adua is playin' to the gallery? Afterall, one does not expect him to bite the hands that fed him. People like Ibori, Olabode George, and other PDP cabals facin' one problem or the other with the commission could possibly be responsible for what the guy is facin' at the moment.

Mr Former Chairman, now it's crystal clear to you that it's not always good to play to the gallery, i remeber i wrote some three years ago that you were being selective in your actions and actions then, let's pray this is not NEMESIS

1191  Forum / Politics / Is This Government Serious At All? on: 21-11-2008 09:48 AM
Apart from slowness of action levelled against the administration of president Umar Musa Yar'adua, seems the government is now trying to reveal the stuff is made of. A government which her citizenry reposes entirely on with her dispositions in the first few days of her rulership.

I wasn't only amazed but so much flabbergasted to read in one of the newsdailies last week that followin' the sack of the erstwhile gov'nor of Edo State, prof. Osa Osunbor, that our dear 'Servant Leader', Yar'adua is plannin' to include his name among the ministerial list. This was said to provide a safe landin' for the embattled gov'nor. So one can see the level of seriousness of Yar'adua administration to ameliorate the sufferings of the Nigerian masses!

A gov'nor who within eighteen (18) months of administration left a debt of N5b to the incumbent. As if that was not enough, I took a look at the said proposed list and saw the names of two former gov'nors. I wonder what miracles ex-gov Achike Udenwa did in his 8-year tenure in Imo state compared to his successor. The other time I was in Enugu and had a stop over in Imo state, I was marvelled at the spate of work, as if it weren't the same place I was in 2006.

In all, it not shows the hollow programmes Yar'adua is set to achieve but also the nothingness the People Deceivin' People (PDP) has and will continue to offer Nigerians.

God help our dear country, Nigeria

Uhn! Wonders they say shall never end! Can you imagine an incumbent gov'nor embarrassed. A gov'nor (and barrister also by profession)from one of the prominent states in the eastern part of the country was subjected to possibly the greatest ridicule of his life yesterday at the Bwari Zone, Abuja of the Nigerian Law School.

The gov'nor had come with his convoys for the usual 'call to bar' ceremony of his daughter when the gate of the venue was shot behind him and his entourage for comin' behind schedule. All appeals to the authorities fell on deaf ears.

The gov'nor was not only dejected but fidgetin' as the authorities insisted that the daughter should come back the followin' year.

Mr. Gov'nor, I really feel for you but now you can see that God is the Most Powerful
1193  Forum / Politics / MTN's Various Promos Seen as a Means of Exploitin' Nigerian Masses on: 12-11-2008 12:32 PM
Recently, there has been various clamp downs on MTN's many Promos that purport to drain Nigerian masses' purses, unlike Bank PHB's Apprentice Africa, UBA's Dragon's Den, Nigerian Breweries' Guilder Ultimate Search and the likes of them which are designed to empower Nigerians.

MTN's sponsored programmes are seen as another means of exploitation, Is it the 'Who wants To Be a Millionaire?' where very many people send texts first at N200 but later reduced to N100. Imagine how many people would send text only for very few of them to be picked. Or is it the current one where you are asked to text 'Treasure' at a cost of N100 to win N1m?

To me, I think it's the abject poverty that has struck our very existence that gave them-MTN and others like that ample opportunity. For instance, look at 'Idol West Africa' sponsored by the then Celtel, Nigeria, what becomes of the winner other than empty promises up till now.

No wonder, Mr. Anike Chibuzo Charles, Ethnic Reformer & National Director, Ebadai-Ereca World Wide said in the Monday November 10 2008 publication of the National Mirror newspaper that EFCC should probe MTN Lottery. In his words..'MTN instead of helpin' to develop the youths and upliftin' the Nigerian society positively by sponsorin' and encouragin' academic research programmes, which is the hallmark of meaningful development; It rather defrauds the talents of the youths by misdirectin' and reducin' them to mere street dancers'....

My people, it's now crystal clear that NOBODY can circumvent your predestined celestial kizmet, it may only be delayed. Even though yesterday's judgement in Benin City, Edo State 's a plus fr our democracy but then, there are so many implications to it. First, the Tribunal Chairman, Justice Nabaruma had written his name on the sands of annals of Nigerian political history, he had not only carved a niche for himself but also his family and the generation yet to come.

Secondly, the involvement of the President of the Court of Appeal 's another giant step towards redeemeing his imagine which before now was dragged in the mud by the way he'd been handlin' various election petitions; the Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Osun (which was even more devastatin'), Delta and the rest of them. What I wish I told them is that no amount of money given to shield them from the wrath of God Almighty. They can go and collect bribe to pervert justice, one thin' 's certain, they cannot stop as much years as they have hitherto spent before they depart from this world.

They all should be prepared to meet with their Lord...M K O Abiola, Gen. Sanni Abacha, Chief Chuba Okadigbo and a host of others, where are they? The Bench and Bar should please regain that trust people repose in them. People like justices Naron, Ekanem, Chief Kalejaye should be probed and brought to book.

God bless our dear country
