In a recent interview with vanguard newspaper, reigning face of Nigeria, queen Peace Michael talked about her early life, upcoming projects, view on girls involving in prostitution Abroad and much more.

1. How would you describe your feelings having won a brand new car through a beauty contest?

I feel chosen by fate and destiny, it made me really happy and my family proud, it wasn't easy but we thank God.

2. Beyond the crown, do you see yourself as good enough to be a winner and which are those qualities that gave you an edge over other contestants?

Yes definitely, The FACE OF NIGERIA 2019 finals had 32 finalist who were potential winners given their pedigree and qualities but I had this believe in myself and what i represent, I don't get easily intimidated, the platform had its rules and obligation towards the crown, I tried as much I could to focus on each layer as we were told..... But my strength and edge was my self believe, I don't just see myself failing at any thing I put my heart to do.

3. Has the crown, the car and the position changed your life?

Totally! Absolutely! I am actually based in Dubai, and I arrived some weeks ago, the ambience and reception I did receive in Nigeria aftermath the finals followed me here and I have some really good lucrative deals coming up shortly.... So yes it totally changed everything, it's a perfect platform for any girl out there to start from.

4. Most people see pageantry as immoral. Do you agree? Did you encounter such to influence decisions?

This was actually my first encounter so before I registered, I heard alot about pageants and its way of making you do things for the title with Your body, but given the fact there haven't been any form of scandal in past about the platform (6years) and the winners blossom, I still went ahead to give this a try and nothing of such happened, I never encounter any form of segxwal harassment, where I was promised the crown if I give my body... Nothing atall of such.

5. What are those projects that you want to embark upon and how do you intend to pursue it?

I have a busy year ahead of me as I intend shuttling Dubai and Lagos in a bid to execute my pet project ( PURPLE PROJECT) I am from Bayelsa state and I intend partnering with my state government giving sanitary pads to girls in secondary school and also having healthy seminars to girls in secondary schools on sex education.


6. Tell us about your background: full name, town and state, upbringing, and school attended?


Well I am from a family of 5 the 3rd child ,Peace Micheal botuaere.from bayelsa state a small town called elemenbiri,I had a Christian upbringing

7. Tell us your pageantry camp experience and how you would advise your daughter if she shows interest in beauty contest?

Camp was fun... Was more like a vacation cos we were camped at the beach, I had fun meeting and making new friends, the tension was much and it increased daily till the finals... Given the caliber of contestants, what would I say to my daughter if she was gonna take this route? Be yourself, listen to every rule and key decisions winning the crown, many contestants don't win because they lie to themselves at the end point and don't pay attention attentively when it is necessary.


8. What lessons are we to learn from beauty pageantry and how do you think that, can change the society?

Alot, quite alot, beauty pageant is the bedrock of purpose and confident every girl needs before embarking and taking on the world, it is a self educative platform which trains your mind and self worth, many celebrities today and women the world look up to were once Beauty Queens......(Oprah Winfrey, Sharon Stone, Beyonce, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian, Katy perry to mention a few)

Giving women a platform such as this is in turn creating an avenue where the younger generation can have a positive mentality as their role models have achieved same.

As the saying goes "Educate the girl child, you raise a Nation"... The pageant platform when done right does exactly this, which in turn affects the entire society.

9. Some ladies prefer to migrate to Europe for greener pastures and end up as sex workers. As a queen who have made it here in the country, what advise do you have for them?


I have made it in Nigeria and also outside the country and I can say in life no matter the options there is and was always a choice, for every sex worker who ply their trade in and out of the country, there was a choice to learn a trade and stay at it... Most times the problem we have is chasing success by all means, this in turn makes you take a short cut, and short cut of making money comes with a price.

So I will advise ladies to always take and make a choice which would pay off better on the long run... Don't be bother by your mates or what you see out there, just stay true to what is right

The 2019 Miss starlet Africa, Queen Obiamaka Enweluzor has flagged off her pet project geared towards promoting healthcare in local communities across the states in Nigeria.

Alongside her team, the beauty queen paid a visit to the General hospital in Enugwu-ukwu, Anambra state where she donated health care materials, food stuffs and other aiding items. She also carried out several renovations at some of the hospital wards.

Obiamaka said that it was her own way of giving back to the society because of her conviction that government alone could not meet the yearnings and needs of the citizenry alone.

This is response to the statement making ripples Online and on Twitter made by Farooq Kperogi who identifies himself to many as an associate-professor of sorts, a supposed intellect of Nigerian descent against President Muhammadu Buhari.


Farooq has made no stop in trying to bring down the legacy built by President Muhammadu Buhari over the years. In most of his tirades, he always labors to paint a picture of one who’s only passion is to expose negative issues in governance in Nigeria.

As ridiculously comical as his posturing has been since he was found not unworthy for any political appointment in 2015 by the Buhari administration (which could be loosely based on a detailed security report pointing to his bipolar condition from childhood medical records), a few of us still refused to openly call him out for who he really is. It has been that type of bitter sweet reality on limitations and managing expectations.

His recent mumbled conjecture of half-truths and bare faced lies against Sadiya Umar Farouq (Hon. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development) because he feels it will give him an opportunity to once again score a supposed cheap point on the integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari shows it is time to finally commit ‘prof’ to a medical facility as he might be back on remission.

For starters, how can any sane individual insinuate that the establishment of a Ministry to oversee all activities on humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development in a country like Nigeria that has been ravaged by insurgency for decades even before President Buhari came into power, is not laudable? Has Kperogi and his likes before now not been all over cyberspace accusing this administration and the office of the VP of not following due process in administering public funds towards disaster management and social development? When you create an impression that funds were not appropriated properly when they are used to help those ravaged by insurgency and the less privileged, and the government establishes a ministry to ensure funds are properly appropriated and monitored these exercises, and then you turn back again to criticize the government for setting up a ministry to enable transparent appropriation and auditing of funds for the less privileged, does that not show something is not right with you mentally?

It is so unfortunate how a male adult, a supposed father and husband, can manufacture wicked unfounded accusations against a principled reserved female, somebody who has no negative record of any form of moral or financial impropriety against her person since she was born, all because “you hate Buhari”.

To expose the obsession of mistresses with Kperogi, our dear 'prof' is a legendary philanderer who was busted in 2013 after an affair gone wrong with a married woman cum mistress who then worked with a reputable telecom firm in lagos (details will be released subsequently with photos) that led to an uncomfortable premature departure from Nigeria when the husband threatened his life…or dare we ask Kperogi to come clean and tell us why he is estranged from his family and what is his relationship with a certain Marlene Thomas who lives in Houston? We also know that numerous blackmail threats from some of his 'victims' and female students have rendered him financially dependent and as such easy tool in the hands of members of the ‘Dubai agenda’ who demand he makes ridiculous write-ups against Buhari so they can distract the gullible with their extended wet dreams of ‘coming’. I'm sure 'prof' you didn't see this one coming, did you?

President Muhammadu Buhari has lived an impeccable life even before now, in and out of public office; never needed a mistress, never had a mistress, and never will have a mistress. Integrity is a trait, not something you buy. Nigeria has a man who understands the core principles of what it means to be selfless, honest, truthful, content, exemplary, and straight forward. HE IS SIMPLY A MAN OF CHARACTER. These same attributes are what have endeared many of those who have worked with President Muhammadu Buhari for decades to Sadiya Umar Farouq. It can thus be simply put that after years of her maintaining that fierce unquestionable character and integrity in all her assignments and endeavors from behind the scenes for Mr. President, a larger majority of those who appreciate what she has achieved silently and know she has so much more to give demanded she be recognized and given more responsibilities. That is why she is a minister today. Don't get it twisted.

Who knows, maybe when you finally get out of relapse and can spell your name rightly like it was bestowed on you by your parents, President Buhari might still consider you for an appointment as an aide to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs. Until then, learn to appreciate leaders doing everything possible to make a difference in a country.

Queen Adaeze G Okoro, the reigning Miss Prestigious Nigeria 2019 recently launched her educational program in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state. The project themed, Girls Child Orientation and Empowerment started off with a tour to Methodist Girls secondary school, Harbour road, Port Harcourt where the beauty queen distributed over 1000 books and other writing materials to the students.

The campaign was laced with various activities including games, spelling bee and also an interactive motivational talks from various speakers on self development and leadership instincts. The queen also marked her birthday at the event and was celebrated by students and staffs in the school.
