Pastor who operates and resides in Oyo State, Pastor Adepoju who was a former pastor at The Apostolic church, TAC, Oke Afata, Gbongan in Osun State has stabbed his pastor friend to death in his home. Adepoju left Ibadan for Osun State to meet with Pastor Julius Olusoji Oguntoye in Osun State pretending to be there for a courtesy visit.

After Oguntoye welcomed him, Adepoju immediately brought out a knife from his suit and stabbed Oguntoye several times. He stabbed him on his head, chest and stomach.  While stabbing him, the pastor accused him of using his glory and that of his children.

Oguntoye, 48, was buried on Monday in Ede, Osun State amid tears. Some of his members described him as an easy going person who cannot hurt a fly. He was reportedly transferred to Gbongan five months ago from Ede, where he served for 12 years as a Pastor. Interestingly, Adepoju was the best man of late Oguntoye when he got married several years ago. The killer has been arrested by the police.

In a bid to beef up crime monitoring across Lagos State, the government has concluded plans to activate 1,000 Close Circuit Television, CCTV, security cameras, in addition to the existing ones.

The state in collaboration with the Federal Government had already activated 1,200 security cameras deployed in strategic places across the state.

Governor Babatunde Fashola disclosed this, yesterday, during the public security system demonstration of the use of the 1,200 security cameras already deployed in the state by the Federal Government at the Command and Control Centre, in Alausa, Ikeja.

Following reports that BBA winner, Karen Igho, is battling cancer, fans have expressed fears over her condition.

An Alabama pastor accused of stabbing his wife to death was on his way to marry his boyfriend in England when he was arrested at an airport earlier this month, according to prosecutors.

Richard Lee Shahan was arrested January 1 at Nashville’s airport, approximately five months after his wife was stabbed to death in the couple’s home. After going through 3,000 of his emails, prosecutors say they learned of Shahan’s plan to meet his boyfriend in Europe, traveling first to Kazakhstan—where he’d told relatives and friends he was going on a three-year mission trip—and then settling in the UK.

“He planned to become a citizen there and begin a new life with his boyfriend… who he intended to marry,” Deputy Jefferson County District Attorney Leigh Gwathney told AL.com.“He had no intention of ever returning to the United States. He had no home to return to and he had said his goodbyes to his family.”

Shahan’s bond was set at $100,000, on the condition that he remain under house arrest until his trial.

“They are doing everything they can to try to manufacture a murder case,” his attorney John Lentine told AL.com.

Shahan was jailed for “investigative purposes” after his wife’s death in July but was released after 48 hours. Not long after his release, he took a paid leave of absence from his job as Children and Families Pastor and the Facilities Director at First Baptist in Homewood, Alabama. He resigned from the job on December 31.

It’s not clear what caused prosecutors to finally press charges.

Aaliyah died 12 years ago in a plane crash, but people like Beyonce and Rowland honored her memory on their social media pages on her recent Jan 16 birthday. While Rowland included both Beyonce and Aaliyah in her Instagram image, Beyonce cut her friend out of the image.

After looking at both images, a number of people took to Twitter to react.

“Kelly posts pic of Aaliyah, Beyonce sees pic, crops Kelly out and posts it,” one person noticed.

Another said, “Beyonce childish (SIC).”

F.Y.E music store even got in on the action with its official twitter page writing, “Way harsh, Bey! Our Royal Beyness committed some serious ‪#TBT‬ theft & crop.”

This is not the first time that Beyonce has been accused of “shading” Rowland.

Earlier this month an old video surfaced on the video sharing website Vine, where each of the four original Destiny’s Child group members which include LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett introduce themselves. When Rowland introduced herself, it seemed a young Beyonce was not happy with her statement.

“I’m the second lead vocalist of the group,” Rowland said in the old video, which has been circulating on Twitter and Vine without a specific date.

Beyonce’s reaction to the statement was a pointed look in Rowland’s direction and a well timed cough. People on Twitter could not resist commenting on the video, saying that
Beyonce “shaded” Rowland in the video clip.

“Beyonce’s reaction when Kelly calls herself the ‘second lead vocalist’ of DC is legendary shade,” one person tweeted.

Rowland has previously expressed her own annoyance about people comparing her to
Beyonce who she remains close friends with. The singer said she thinks it is insane when people try to hold her to the same standard as Beyonce.

“The world would be boring if we all did the same thing over and over again. And I don’t want to be on her (Beyonce’s) level,” Rowland said on the nationally syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show last year. “I want my own. And Michelle wants her own. When people compare, it’s just so insane to me.”

A controversial new study claims that decisions made by women when they are pregnant can affect their babies brains including determining their segxwality, intelligence and chances of developing autism.
The suggestion that the lifestyle of an expectant mother can affect their offspring's development has been put forward in Professor Dick Swaab's new book We Are Our Brains.
The professor of neurology at Amsterdam University claims that the chance of having a child who is gay can be determined by a range of factors including how stressed pregnant women are as well as whether they smoke and their exposure to amphetamines.

'Pregnant women suffering from stress are also more likely to have homosegxwal children of both genders because their raised level of the stress hormone cortisol affects the production of foetal sex hormones,' Swaab said reported The Sunday Times.

The development of the brain is such a delicate process during pregnancy that Swaab believes any small changes can have a major impact on a person's life.
A key example of this was in a study which found that women who took the synthetic estrogen DES when pregnant were more likely to have daughters with bisegxwal or homosegxwal tendencies.

The drug was widely prescribed to pregnant women as an anti-miscarriage drug for more than 20 years and researchers found that eight of the 117 DES daughters studied had bisegxwal or homosegxwal tendencies, while none did in a carefully selected 117-woman control group.

Some traits are dictated by nature. Research has previously found that boys with older brothers are more likely to be homosegxwal than those with sisters, younger brothers or no siblings at all.

For every older brother a man has, the chances of him being gay increases by 33 per cent, according to Canadian psychologist Ray Blanchard.
Former Aston Villa, West Ham and German international footballer Thomas Hitzlsperger who announced he was gay earlier this month has five older brothers and one sister.

The report suggest that this could be due to a mother's immune system developing stronger responses to the male hormone produced by boy babies during each pregnancy.

Another link was an expectant mother's alcohol consumption which can affect how new brain cells integrate into the growing brain. The NHS advises pregnant woman that if they choose to drink they must 'protect your baby by not drinking more than one to two units of alcohol once or twice a week, and don't get drunk.'
And Swaab says that studies show the pronounced effect alcohol can have on children.

'Even in women who drink just a glass of wine a day we see effects (such as) lower IQ and hyperactivity.'
Other links made in the study suggest that exposure to traffic fumes and industrial air pollution can dramatically increase a mother's chances of having a child with autism.

Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health found the risk was doubled for women living in the most polluted locations. 'Our findings raise concerns since, depending on the pollutant, 20 per cent to 60 per cent of the women in our study lived in areas where risk of autism was elevated,' said lead scientist Dr Andrea Roberts.
