Huawei does business in Nigeria. That is why you have a strong signal on your phone.

Huawei is also accused of misbehavior. For instance, A well known lawyer (Gabriel Giwa-Amu), based in Lagos Nigeria is accusing Huawei of a litany of offenses. The following is a partial list:
⦁   Huawei Hacked personal emails and bank accounts of their employees in Nigeria (mainly Nigerians)
⦁   Hacked the emails and bank accounts of their suppliers throughout Africa
⦁   Violated local and international labor standards
⦁   Issued fake Visas to Nigerian employees
⦁   Violated Nigerian immigration laws by stationing undocumented and fraudulently documented Chinese nationals in Nigeria.
⦁   Tax evasion
⦁   Broke agreements with the Nigerian government on the terms of Chinese labor force.

So, basically, the worst of it is they say Huawei gathered information on employees and suppliers by hacking emails and bank accounts.
No money taken, they just gathered information.

I study these corruption cases involving Huawei's activities in Africa.

I used to work for Huawei and some people suggest that I am a Huawei advocate. I just think that there are two sides to every story, so I want to invite debate. I have talked to Matthew Willsher, CEO of Etisalat Nigeria; he had only praise for Huawei. Now I would like to hear from Nigerians who have an opinion about Huawei or Etisalat (because everything you get from Etisalat actually comes from Huawei).
