Former president Goodluck Jonathan, who has recently become a global icon, will be honoured by the Diplomatic Circles in Geneva, Switzerland.

Goodluck Jonathan
Channels TV reports that Jonathan has been selected for honour for his democratic credentials and upholding human rights in Africa.

The former president is to receive his honour on Thursday, January 21, at the group’s annual dinner in Geneva. He is the first African leader to be so honoured by the revered group of diplomats.

At the dinner gala night Jonathan will also deliver a keynote address.

As a brother, you only told the world that our people are not violent, we love peace inasmuch as we have some violent elements who claim to be fighting the federal government for a just cause.
