Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, returned to his roots by visiting his alma mater, Olusosun Primary School in the Oregun area of Lagos State
He proudly took his CAF award along, sharing his achievement with the school that nurtured his early years.
Osimhen made history in December 2023 by becoming the first Nigerian to win the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999.
This visit marks his second return to the school, following a similar trip in June 2023.
During his previous visit, Osimhen revisited his former classroom, reunited with his old teacher, and took photos with the students.
This heartwarming gesture demonstrates his appreciation for his humble beginnings and his desire to inspire the next generation.
Photojournalist Sulaiman Adebayo, also known as Pooja, captured the moment on social media platform X, showing Osimhen’s journey from street coaches and friends to achieving greatness in the football world.
