A former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has berated the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu for asking Igbos to boycott elections in the South-East until referendum is conducted.

Speaking in Abia State, the former governor and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, said it was unconstitutional for Kanu to demand that elections be boycotted in the South East.
Noting that Kanu reserved the right to agitate for Biafra, Kalu insisted that the IPOB leader had no right to stop people of the region from choosing their leaders.
He said: “It will not be fair for IPOB to say that, it is unconstitutional. They have the right to agitate for Biafra, but have no right of disrupting people’s process of registration or electing their leaders.

“IPOB people have every right to agitate, after all, we have free speech in the country, everybody has right to agitate for what he feels is right for him, but that should follow due process.
“You know, I went to prison to see Nnamdi Kanu when he was there and I spoke with him. I also almost at the same time visited his parents at their Afara Ukwu, Umuahia country home and I also spoke with them.
“That does not mean I’m in support of what he is doing as some people many tend to believe. At the same time, I’m not against his agitation, he has that right, but like I said earlier, it must follow due process.
“I wish they will understand where the world is going; none of the world powers support the division of Nigeria.
“What I think we should do as a people is to come forcefully and demand for our rights, right of being president of this country, right of having equality, right of social justice and right of being treated with the same law; these are what we should be asking for.”

The business mogul who appeared on a political talkshow titled 'People, Politics and Power' on the African Independent Television, AIT two days ago revealed he had spoken with powerful people within the political system of the United States of America on Nigeria's secession crisis and they are not interested in the country's division.

These people will go down in history as the dumbest,most sheepish, most foolish and of course most hopeless set of people in Africa if they sit back at home and refuse to vote.Anyway I trust the brilliance of Anambraians.They will vote...Anambra is the home of greats and they are not as cynical as one hopeless Yoruba state that wanted to throw a whole tribe into a lagoonVery hopeless of this Lagoon state.Cynically hopeless!

WE CAN'T CONTINUE TO BE NUMBER THREE CITIZENS IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, IT IS NOT DONE
A SITUATION WHERE REPRESENTATIVE FROM ONE STATE ARE MORE THAN THAT OF A WHOLE SOUTH EAST IS QUESTIONABLE ANDMUST BE ADDRESSED.
A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE 48 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN ONE STATE MORE THAN THAT OF A WHOLE SOUTH EAST MUST BE READJUST FOR SAKE OF EQUITY.
CAN SOMEONE MENTION ONLY ONE FEDERAL PRESENCE IN SOUTH EAST AS A WHOLE?
KANO STATE HAS 48 LOCAL GOVERMENT WHILE THE WHOLE SOUTH EAST ARE NOT UP TO THAT COMBINE TOGETHER.
IT IS EITHER RESTRUCTURE OR BIAFRA, PERIOD!
